The evolutionary theory assumes that humans are animals, but cannot explain the difference between animal brain equipped with instinct, and the human mind with creative reasoning powers of intellect.

Some animals have physical brains as large or larger than man's, and with similar cerebral cortex complexity - but none has the powers of intellect, logic, self-consciousness and creativity of man. The physical brain of a dolphin, whale or elephant is larger than the human brain, while a chimp's is slightly smaller. Qualitatively, the difference between them and the human brain is very little - not enough to remotely account for the vastly superior intelligence and output of the human brain. The gap between animal brain and human mind is incredibly vast.

When God molded Adam out of the dust of the ground, he was made in the "likeness" - the outward form and shape - of God Himself. Not too many people believe that, but you can look it up in Gen. 1:26. God did not make any of the other creatures to be a replica of Himself. This unique form and shape was given to man alone. This is because man was created with the potential to become God. This is another doctrine not many believe, choosing the nebulous "floating on a cloud after death" theory. But of the two, the Bible is replete with inferences to the former.

Each animal was created with a brain suited for its particular animal kind. But animals do not have the potential of mind and character that God gave only to man. No animal was ever given the gift of mind power - ability to think, to reason, to make choices and decisions - as was man.

It is this very special attribute of mind and character that separates men from animals. Animals posess what we call instinct. Their brains are programmed, so to speak, by God with particular instinctive aptitudes to live and perform in a certain way. They follow instinctive habit patterns in their feeding, nesting, migration and reproduction. Thus beavers build dams, birds build nests. These aptitudes are inherited - they are not the result of logical, cognitive or thinking processes.

For example, millions of birds flock south each year as winter approaches in the Northern Hemisphere. They don't stop to reason why, they don't ask themselves whether they should, they don't plan ahead an itinerary for the trip. At a given internal signal - like the preset alarm of a clock - they leave their summer feeding grounds in the north and travel hundreds, sometimes thousands of miles south. Scientists don't fully understand why - they merely observe  the operation of this animal instinct.

Each species or kind of bird builds a different type of nest; feeds on specific kinds of foods; and migrates at different times to various destinations. But none of these actions is planned in advance by the birds as humans would. Birds merely have the capability and proclivity to do that which Almighty God built into the instinct of each at creation.

But man's mind is vastly different from animal instinct. Man is able to devise various ways to do any one thing or to achieve a predetermined goal. Man can acquire knowledge and reason from it. He can draw conclusions, make decisions, will to act according to a thought-out-plan.

Man can design and build different types of houses, using various designs and building materials. Thus we see intricate designs of castles and mansions, and more basic designs like igloos and wood cabins. Humans also eat different types of foods, prepared in many ways, and in a logical, thought out manner. We may also live different lifestyles from one another. And if a man wants to change his way of life - he can! He is not governed by a set of predetermined  habit patterns as animals are.

Man can choose - he has free moral agency. He can devise codes of conduct and exercise self-discipline. He can originate ideas and evaluate knowledge because he has a mind that is patterned after God's mind. Man can devise and bring his plans to fruition because he has been given some of the very creative powers of God.

Man alone can wonder, "Why was I born? What is life? What is death? Is there a purpose to human existence? Man, unlike the animals, not only "knows" how to do certain things, but he also knows that he knows - that is, he is aware that he has knowledge; he is conscious of that fact and self-conscious of his own existence as a unique being.

These attributes of mind and character make man God's unique physical creation. God has shared some of His own unique qualities with man. And God expects man to develop and become conformed to the "spiritual" image of God's perfect mind and holy character (Matt. 5:48) - just as man is now formed in the physical image of God.

But now the question begs to be answered - what is the elusive element that separates man from the animals?

"Human" spirit makes the difference

Man was created to have a special relationship with God. He was made in the likeness of the God kind. If in doubt, read what Jesus Christ looks like now in spiritual form (Rev. 1). He as a shape like we do, with all parts of the body comparable to ours, except in spiritual form and glory.

God's purpose in making mortal man after His own likeness demanded mind power in man patterned after God's own mind. That is why the most remarkable thing about man is his mind. What is it then that separates humankind from the animal kingdom? What gives man this god-plane power of intellect? It all boils down to a non-physical component in the human brain that does not exist in the animal brain. This component makes man so vastly different from animals, and truly unique.

Man does not have an immortal soul within him that enables him to live on apart from his body after death (remember man is a mortal soul). But the Bible nevertheless does speak of a "spirit in man" Here are some examples:

1. Job 32:8 - But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

2. Zech. 12:1 - The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

The Commentaries are baffled by passages such as these, because their writers are so steeped in the doctrine of the trinity, they cannot understand that this spirit in man has no consciousness of itself. It is not an "immortal soul," nor is it the man himself. It is something within the man. Joined with his physical brain, it forms human mind. It imparts to man's brain his unique powers of intellect and personality - the ability to think rationally and make free will decisions. It imparts the ability to learn mathematics, , languages or other types of knowledge such as music, art, carpentry, flying.

The spirit in man can be called the "human" spirit, for it is in each human being, even though it is spirit essence, and not matter. It is not a "ghost," spirit being or the Holy Spirit. It is also not the soul - the physical human is a soul.

The human spirit does not supply human life. The human life is in the physical blood, oxidized by the breath of life (Lev. 17:11). But the spirit in man does impart the power of intellect to the human brain:

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God (I Cor. 2:11).

This non-phyical component in the human brain is spirit essence, just as in the material world, air is a gaseous essence. it cannot see - the physical brains sees through the eyes. It cannot hear - the brain hears through the ears. it cannot think - the brain thinks, although the human spirit imparts the power to think far above the level of the brute animal. Without such spirit, animals cannot do original thinking.

Whatever knowledge enters the brain through the five senses is instantly stored (memorized) in the human spirit within the person, much like a computer stores information. it enables the brain to have instant recall of stored up knowledge, thus enabling it to utilize bits of related information in the process of thinking and reasoning.

The human spirit imparts the power of intellect to the physical brain in two ways: 1) It gives the brain instant recall of whatever it calls for in its knowledge base and (2) it allows the brain to put the pieces of information stored in the spirit together in the process we call "thinking," "reasoning" and "drawing conclusions."

The human spirit is also the means God has instilled which to make possible a personal relationship between human man and divine God. It acts as a bridge, so to speak, between our mind and that of God. When the human mind is given the Holy Spirit, then there is a "bridge" of understanding between God and man. That is what the second part of I Cor. 2:11 is all about: "...even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God." It is the vital missing component in communicating with our Father and Jesus Christ.

This truth is so important that Satan has twisted and perverted it long ago. He clouded the minds of men and led them into believing his big lie as far back in time as the first human beings in the Garden of Eden.

Here was the origin of the "immortality of the soul" teaching so prevalent today. Satan told the first woman she would "not surely die" (Gen. 3:4). In other words, he told her she had an "immortal soul" that woud live forever. Eve believed this lie. And much of the world today continues to believe some variation of that ancient "big lie!"

To find a treasure, a pearl of great price, what must one do? To be joined with the Creator, our own efforts are not enough. It is His gift, but it depends on one's necessary intense spiritual commitment. The consolation comes in the verse:

But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. (Deut 4:29)

"heart" in this text means:

inner man, mind, will, heart, soul, understanding,inner part, midst, knowledge, thinking, reflection, memory,inclination, resolution, determination (of will), conscience, heart (of moral character), seat of appetites, seat of emotions and passions, seat of courage.

"soul" in this text means:

soul, self, life, creature, person, appetite, mind, living being, desire, emotion, passion, that which breathes, the breathing substance or being, soul, the inner being of man, the man himself, self, person or individual, seat of the appetites, seat of emotions and passions, activity of mind,activity of the will, activity of the character .

Can one afford not to give Him all? People are spending their lives on pursuing professional carriers, sports, hobbies, fame, power, money wholeheartedly. They are giving their time, money and energy in pursuit of chaff and temporary pleasures.

One can't find the highest fulfillment without offering all. What is worth dying for, is worth living for. Understanding of the eternal brings life under heavenly order.

'Course, I been a fan of his since the '70's. "Love and Happiness" has to be one of the ultimate heart-stopping, booty-shakin' songs ever. This latest CD is very reminiscent of those old school funk and blues songs from back in the day when we were babies cuttin' our teeth on the likes of Al, Isaac Hayes, Chaka Khan and so many others. But the songs are fresh with a white hot beat like in "You've Got the Love I Need" in which Anthony Hamilton joins in with his velvety voice. The title track "Lay It Down" is pure, smooth AL, his powerful voice lulling you onto a aural feather bed of luuuuv.

My favorite track is "I'm Wild About You" - with it's killer organ and horns and down-to-basics lyrics, it's Al at his best. Take a listen:

Hindu groups have urged National Hockey League (NHL), headquartered in New York, to immediately cut-off all alliances with the Hollywood movie "The Love Guru", stressing "it ridicules and denigrates Hindus and Hinduism".

Advancing the cause spearheaded by acclaimed Hindu leader Rajan Zed; Bhavna Shinde, representing Hindu Janjagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha, in a communiqué to NHL Commissioner Gary Bruce Bettman, said, "All North Americans, including Hindus, are very proud of NHL and its heritage. Founded in 1917, NHL is considered to be the premier professional ice hockey league in the world, and one of the four North American sports leagues alongwith baseball, football and basketball. The Stanley Cup is the oldest professional sports trophy in North America. We do not want our NHL, which we hold in high esteem, to be in any way associated with 'The Love Guru', which lampoons Hinduism, its concepts, its traditions and its followers."

"So, please detach NHL immediately from 'The Love Guru', including backing out of all strategic, marketing and other alliances; and issue a statement in this regard," this communiqué stressed

Meanwhile, Rajan Zed, supported by some other organizations, has given a worldwide boycott call for this movie by Hindus and other religious people because it lampoons Hinduism and Hindu concepts and uses Hindu terms frivolously. Zed, who launched campaign against this movie starting in March, urging other people of faith (besides Hindus) also to boycott the movie, said, "Today it is Hinduism, tomorrow Hollywood might attempt to denigrate another religion/denomination."

This is pure and blatant ridiculing and "The Love Guru" presenter Paramount Pictures and its parent Viacom should immediately issue a general public apology, Zed says and adds that Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion followers and a rich philosophical thought and it should not be taken lightly. No faith, larger or smaller, should be ridiculed at.

A prominent Jewish Rabbi, Elizabeth W. Beyer of Nevada (USA), has also called for boycott of "The Love Guru" because it "...lampoons Hinduism, mocks Ashram life and Hindu philosophy..."

Meanwhile, signature campaign launched by Hindu groups against "The Love Guru" has crossed the 6,600 mark.

"The Love Guru" (88 minutes), a comedy starring Mike Myers (of Austin Powers fame), opened June 20 in USA and Canada and will be released in different parts of the world in the near future. Viacom is a leading global entertainment content company and its family of brands includes MTV, Paramount, DreamWorks, etc. Paramount Pictures Corporation is a global producer and distributor of filmed entertainment.

Because 1998 was the year of the Holy Spirit it is important that we emphasize the role of the Holy Spirit in the PLAN OF GOD and in this period of the history of the Church from the First Pentecost until the end of time and for all eternity.

In the Apostles' Creed we say: "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen."

In the Nicene Creed we say: "We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen."

The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament

There are Biblical texts dealing with the Spirit of God from the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament to the Book of Revelation in the New Testament. We will mention a few of the familiar ones.

In Genesis 1:1-2a:4a we read "In the beginning, God created heaven and earth and the earth was void and empty and darkness was on the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved over the waters. Then God said ‘Let there be light', and there was light God saw how good the light was." This is actually the second account of creation by the Priestly author of a later date.

The first account by the author known as YAHWIST because he referred to God as YAHWEH is in Genesis 2:4-7 where we read: "At the time when God made the earth and the heavens while as yet there was no field shrub on the earth and no grass of the field had sprouted, for the Lord God had sent no rain upon the earth and there was no man to till the soil but a stream was welling up out of the earth and was watering all the suiface of the ground The Lord God formed man out of the clay of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life and so man became a living being."

The YAHWIST has no interest in the formation of cosmic light or the sun, moon and stars as Father George Montague says in his book entitled The Holy Spirit: Growth of a Biblical Tradition, because his interest is restricted to the earth and the things that immediately touch human life: water, earth, the sown land, animals, woman. His interest is centred in man who is ADAM for the ADAMAH, earthman from the earth.

Other popular texts from the Old Testament referring to the Holy Spirit or adaptable to His action are as follows:

In Isaiah 11:2-3. we read: "The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him; a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength. a Spirit of knowledge and of fear of the Lord and his delight shall be the fear of the Lord." There is no explicit mention of piety in this text but it may be included in the opening words of the quotation. At any rate these Isaiah gifts are the general characteristics of the Messiah who is to come and, we hope. of his future followers who receive the Holy Spirit and His gifts in Baptism and Confirmation.

In Jeremiah 31:31-33, we read: "I will make a new covenant... I will put my law within them and I will write it upon their hearts."

In the prophet Ezekiel 36:26, we read, "I will give you a new heart and place a new Spirit within you, taking from your bodies your stony hearts and giving you natural hearts."

In the prophet Joel 3:1-2, we read: "I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even upon the servants and handmaids, I will pour out my Spirit."

As we say in the Nicene Creed: "He" that is, "the Holy Spirit spoke through the prophets." He truly spoke through all the prophets of the Old Testament and through Jesus Christ, the Priest, Prophet and King of the New Testament!

The Holy Spirit by His Inspiration is the Principal Author of the books of both Testaments. And yet it is difficult to find a direct quotation from the Holy Spirit Himself in the Scriptures. There are many indications of the Holy Spirit speaking in the New Testament:

MATTHEW 10:19-21 "When they hand you over, do not worry about what you will say or how you will say it. When the hour comes you will be given what you are to say. You yourselves will not be the speakers; the Spirit of your Father will be speaking in you.." This is commonly referred to as "the Dabitur Vobis" which translated into English means: "It will be given to you."

Another oft-quoted text in this regard is JOHN 3-8: "The wind blows where it will you hear the sound it makes but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone begotten by the Spirit."

The text of Paul to the Romans 8:26-27 is very comforting for all of us: "The Spirit too helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in speech. He who searches hearts knows what the Spirit means, for the Spirit intercedes for the saints as God Himself wills." Again St. Paul says in I Corinthians 12:3 just before he lists the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit: "And no one can say ‘Jesus is Lord' except in the Spirit." So when you pray, be open to the Holy Spirit and He will take over. Invite Him to take over and your prayer life will improve immensely.

Thus the Holy Spirit is constantly in communication with the Church and with her members from within. We are Temples of the Holy Spirit and since He is dwelling within us, we receive His messages directly in our minds and hearts and it is our obligation to accept them and act upon them.

The Holy Spirit in The New Testament

In his constitution on Confirmation in 1971, Pope Paul VI said the New Testament shows how the Holy Spirit assisted Jesus Christ throughout His whole Messianic Mission:

1) At the Annunciation the Angel Gabriel said to Mary: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and that which you conceive will be called the Son of God." Luke 1:35

2) On receiving the Baptism of John the Baptist, St. John the Evangelist said: "I beheld the Holy Spirit descending upon Him like a dove and it stayed upon Him!" John 1:32

3) After His Baptism, St. Mark said: "He was led by the Spirit into the desert and He was in the desertforforty days and forty nights, being tempted the while by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts and the angels came and ministered to Him." Mark 1:12-13

4) Teaching the people of Nazareth, He showed by what he said that the words of Isaiah referred to Himself: "the Spirit of the Lord is upon me." Luke 4: 17-21

5) He later promised before He suffered that "the Holy Spirit would help them to bear fearless witness to their faith before persecutors." Luke 12:12

6) The night before He died, He assured His Apostles that "He would send the Spirit of Truth upon them from the Father." John 15:26

7) After His Resurrection, He promised the coming descent of the Holy Spirit: "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes down upon you and you Will be my witness in Jerusalem in all Judea and in Samaria and even to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8. He had told them: "not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father." Acts 1:4

8 ) After praying for nine days in the upper room: "the Apostles and the disciples with Mary, the mother of Jesus and the women and the brothers were ready to receive the Spirit " Acts 1:13-14

9) On the tenth day it is reported: "When the day of Pentecost came, all the believers were gathered together in one place. Suddenly, there was a noise from the sky which sounded like a strong wind blowing and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire which spread out and touched each person there. They were all filled with the Iioij' Spirit and began to talk in other languages as the Holy Spirit enable them to speak." Acts 2:1-4

10) The Church was born and the believers began to preach the Good News: "There were Jews living in Jerusalem, religious people who had come from every country in the world. When they heard this noise, a large crowd gathered. They were all excited because they heard the believers talking in their own languages. In amazement and wonder they exclaimed: "These people who are talking like this are Galileans! How is it then, that all of us hear them speaking in our own native languages? We are from Parthia, Media and Elam from Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia; from Pontus and Asis, from Phrygia and Pamphylia, from Egypt and the regions of Libya near Cyrene. Some of us are from Rome, but Jews and Gentiles converted to Judaism and some of us are from Crete and Arabia -yet all of us hear them speaking in our own languages about the great things God has done." Acts 2:5-11

Titles of the Holy Spirit

1) Advocate: "These things I have spoken to you while yet dwelling with you. But the Advocate, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and will bring to mind whatever I have said to you." John 14:26 Advocate means lawyer, one who pleads our case.

2) Paraclete: "But I speak the truth to you; it is expedient for you that I depart For if I do not go, the Paraclete will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you." John 16:7-8 Paraclete means "Comforter", one who gives strength.

3) The Spirit of Truth: "But when the Advocate has come, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witness concerning me." John 15:26

4) The Love of God Personified: "And hope does not disappoint because the Love of God is poured forth in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:5

Father Bernard J. F. Lonergan, S.J., the great Canadian Theologian uses this text to contrast the Apostles' love of God before and after the coming of the Holy Spirit on the First Pentecost. For example, Peter loved the Lord with a human love on the first Good Friday and he denied Him three times during the Passion. However, after the descent of the Holy Spirit, he loved the Lord with the love of God, or with divine love and thus he was able to face persecution and he even asked that he be crucified upside down because he was unworthy to die like the Lord.

There are other titles for the Holy Spirit such as: Comforter, Sanctifier, the promised One of the Father, and the Inner Teacher, the Spirit of the Father and the Spirit of the Son.

Symbols of the Holy Spirit

1) A Dove: The dove has long been a sign of peace, gentleness and hope. "And the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form, like a dove. A voice came from Heaven: ‘You are my Son, the Beloved with whom I am well pleased" Luke 3:22

2) Wind: The word SPIRIT is etymologically from the word BREATH or WIND. Invisible and formless, the wind can caress us or overwhelm us with its power. "The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit." John 3:8

"And when the days of Pentecost were drawing to a close, they were altogether in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a mighty wind blowing and it filled the whole house where they were sitting." Acts 2:1-2

3) Fire: Fire consumes and purifies, warms us and lights our path. "Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them and a tongue settled upon each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit." Acts, 2:3-4

4) Water: Water cleanses and refreshes, yet its power can carve a mountainside. "Those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty; but the water that I will give shall become a fountain of water springing up unto life everlasting." John 4:13-15

The Holy Spirit and the Church

God the Father's plan was to raise all the members of the human race to a participation of the divine life. When Adam sinned, He did not abandon human beings but sent His son Jesus Christ into the world as the Saviour and Redeemer. Christ inaugurated the Church, the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. He is the HEAD OF THE CHURCH.

When the work of redemption was completed, God the Father and God the Son sent God the Holy Spirit into the world that He might continually sanctify the Church and guide her until the end of time to preserve her from error and all dangers. The Holy Spirit, who is the Soul and the Life of the Church, gives her infallibility and indefectibility. He makes sure that the Church is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic for all time to come.

Moreover, each member of the Church receives the Holy Spirit in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation along with His Gifts and Fruits and all the other wonderful effects of these sacraments. (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Vatican II, Numbers 2-8 )

The newer sciences like quantum physics tell us everything is ENERGY and at the tiniest level comprehensible, seen or unseen ENERGY is oneness. To open the mind to oneness, imagine Alphabet Soup with all the different letters existing in a common broth.

At birth, your presence EXPRESSED a uniqueness of the One unmatched through all space and time. Every choice you make causes an EXPERIENCE that serves to EXPAND awareness. Your choices either EMPOWER you or disempower you.  EMPOWERMENT  shows up in results that bring joy EASILY.

We are where we are based on our former choices. What we choose now causes our next experience to be either joyful or painful.

 

EVERYTHING  you require to create the life you truly want is within you. The most important relation-shift right now is with yourself. ]]> <![CDATA[A walk in the clouds...]]> http://brightlite.wordpress.com/?p=117 Sat, 05 Jul 2008 16:44:50 +0000 brightlite http://brightlite.wordpress.com/?p=117 At night in the summertime, it is my very favorite past time to just walk under the sky.  I walk every night watching the moon go through it phases, and counting the stars as they dot the darkness of the heavenly landscape.

 Two faces appear as the clouds roll by...

The warmth of the days light has passed and a usually a calm breeze carries my thoughts to another place entirely.  When I lived in Arizona, I spent a great many nights on desert roads watching the same sky, only the darkness of the desert magnified the intensity of the starlight, and at times I could see clusters and nebuli that contained billions of other stars, and quite possibly alternative forms of life, beyond the scope of human knowledge and experience.  I find it quite fascinating that the sun is our closest star.  I find that fact incredibly humbling.  The sun is a medium sized, middle aged star, and it accounts for life on our planet Earth.  It is the closest star, the only star in our solar system.  How many stars are there?  Infinitely more than can be counted, and in an ever expanding universe, more than anyone can even concieve.  In the realm of possibility there exists the fact that in another situation, in another circumstance outside of the limited construct of planet Earth, and outside of the limited confines of our solar syatem and our galaxy, life else where exists.  To assume that our planet, with its unique qualities and its optimal position relative to the star we call sun is the ONLY pathway to life is naive.  It is comforting and reassuring that we own the universe, but I can assure you it is a falacy.

Not only do we not own the universe, we do not even know a fraction of the expanse of the universe, and therefore we have disowned it.  We think ourselves "advanced,"  but if we are so advanced, then what accounts for waste of the human brain, where only roughly 2% is utylized and 98% is left to waste.  Einstein's brain is preserved at Princeton University and it was studied extensively.  Scientists concluded that he used about 4% or twice the brain power or capacity of the normal human.  Even Einstein wasted his brain to be honest.  What barriers prevent humans from accessing the brain power that we are given?  What would happen if humans indeed found a way to harness the brain power and channel it?  What discoveries could then be made?  What advances could then be achieved?  The brain functions from energy in our biological system.  Is it possible that the biological energy provided by normal bodily functions like respiration and digestion only provide enough energy to "power" the essential parts of the brain needed for thinking and for living and basic learning?  How did Einstein "fuel" his brain?  Brain waves conduct currents that lead to impulses, and those impulses direct the brain to respond to stimuli, so can we find alternative fuel besides biological methods to increase our output?  Oil is not the only fuel in shortage folks.

I find the stars at night to be a trendous source of fuel for me.  The Light they provide is seemingly minimal but it is "old' light.  The sun light is 8 minutes old, but light from a distant star can be millions or even billions of years old, and that light has the potential to fuel just as the sun does.  Light is life.  Now I imagine there are those of you that think that is impossible, but I have realized that the only "impossibility" is indeed impossiblity.  Never say never as they say.  I know that the brain in my head is capable of so much more, and each day I work to channel that power.  How?  I look beyond what is seen, I listen for what isn't heard, and I extend my senses to find that which lies beyond the realm of human detection.  There is so much more around us than we can actually sense, we are so limited as we detect a fraction of the waves that we encounter.  If man could channel the brain power that was given, and harness the fuel that would power the brain waves, the result would be miraculous.  In the short term, moving objects upon willing them (telekinetics) would be an ultimate outcome, but that in and of itself is not that exciting.  Man has the capacity to do a form of photosynthesis (making one's own food) not achieved through the same means but the existence of organs such as the appendix with no known function literally sit unused because the brain power to switch them on has not been found.  It is even in the realm of possibility that the brain is potentially apable of reversing the aging process, and the so-called fountain of youth lies in ourvery own brain. 

Man has the capacity to astral travel, which sounds like a version of Star Trek "beam me up" but indeed that which concieved can be achieved.  All in all, it is no secret that when it comes to the brain, we have let it slide.  The brain in conjuction with our central nervous system is a wealth of knowledge awaiting us.  How do we get to it?  How do we find it?  What will we do with it when we tap it?  The answers to these and all of the questions posed have one answer...THINK ABOUT IT.

O fato é que ela andava tendo problemas na turma por conta da matéria, o conteúdo era recheado de textos de semiótica da moda e questões inerentes à identidade e sociedade, mas grande parte da turma achava uma chatice e não via nenhuma aplicação prática. Para a sorte da professora, um dia antes de dar aula ela foi ao lançamento da Soul (marca jovem da Mary Design) e para sua surpresa o flyer do evento contava com um textinho que só poderia ter sido escrito por alguém que tivesse levado a sério toda a discussão que ela insistia em promover:

"Participamos a vocês o nascimento da nossa nova marca. Foi uma longa gestação: busca de perfil, identidade visual, estilo, faixa etária, mercado... Nossa intenção sempre foi criar uma marca que preservasse na ALMA a essência da Mary Design, porém com identidade própria. Foi assim que nasceu a SOUL, tendo como signo a alma, única e individual. Bem próximo a Sou, afirmativo do ser, ser humano. Como questão reflexiva e profunda, quem sou. Como conceito, uma busca íntima da personalidade. Como acessórios, bijus que conversem com o público jovem, entre 12 e 22 anos. E que além do básico possa oferecer o sonho. O sonho de ser diferente."

E foi assim, em tom leve e acessível que a Mary Design aplicou com maestria todos os fundamentos da  moda acadêmica (que para alguns parece tão distante) na tarefa de construir uma marca que entende as lógicas de mercado e quer vender muito.  Por conta disso tenho muito carinho pela Soul e seu repertório bem embasado, e o que é melhor: os produtos fazem jus ao discurso sendo trabalhados com muita sensibilidade e coerência.

This false attempt to limit God's present earthly activities is not only demonically inspired, but it is a false attempt to cover-up the existing personal inadequacies of many of the so called professing Christians who clearly to date are really only not still not fully Holy Spirit filled, anointed, even as a direct result of the fact they are living a self centered life, have not died to Jesus Christ, are not anointed, are basically not servants of God, are not serving God, but they really have not made Jesus Lord of their whole life too. One can see evidence of such persons by the actual definition of the term Christian  itself, One group tries to define all Christians as merely  anyone who is a follower of Christ, whereas the other groups defines a Christian as one in whom one can see the fruits, works, the evidence of the anointing of Christ based on acts 10:38  (Acts 10:38 KJV)  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

Beware always of men and women, bullies, tormentors, control freaks,  persons, civil and public servants,  politicians, pastors, leaders, elders, who falsely do, will try to enslave you, oppress you, exploit you even while they claim they are proclaiming the truth, democracy, trying to help you, etc.,
 

 
Is 51:23 ..your tormentors {and} oppressors, those who said to you, Bow down, that we may ride {or} tread over you; and you have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over.
 
Come, Lord Jesus, and fill these people full of the Holy Spirit.
 
In 1 Corinthians 12 Paul lists out these gifts.  Any Spirit-filled Christian can eventually manifest or release any of these gifts as the Holy Spirit directs him.
    

Word of Wisdom - God's supernatural perspective on how to achieve His will. God's knowledge rightly applied to specific situations. Word of Knowledge - "Facts" given by God that are unknowable without revelation.

The Gift of Faith - The supernatural ability to believe God without doubt. Essential to the Gift of Healing and Miracles.

The Gift of Healing - Supernatural healing through special anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Working of Miracles - A supernatural display of power that goes beyond the natural to counteract earthly and evil forces.

Discerning of Spirits - Spiritual insight into differences between the Holy Spirit, the the spirit of Man, and evil spirits at work in the earth.  It is not the discerning of character faults.

The Gift of Prophecy - The forth-telling of God's utterance.  It is not of the intellect but of the Spirit.  It is divinely inspired and anointed words spoken by a believer.

Kinds of Tongues - This is not to be confused with the use of tongues in private prayer or worship.  This refers to the ministry of tongues to others.  An utterance from a believer to another in a language unknown to the speaker. (Isaiah 28:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 2:4; 10:44-48; 19:1-7; 1 Corinthians 12:10; 13:1-3; 14:2,4-22,26-31; 28:31)

Interpretation of Tongues - Supernatural power to reveal the meaning of tongues.  Not a translation, but an interpretation.  Tongues and Interpretation working together can be the equivalent of prophecy.

The working of these nine Gifts is for the profit and advantage of the Church.  They are for the benefit of the Church and are specifically available to every believer as the Holy Spirit wills. (1Corinthians 12:7-11; 14:12).  They should all be actively welcomed and expected in your life. (1Corinthians 14:1)

HOW MANY GIFTS DO WE GET?

The Holy Spirit distributes His gifts to each believer severally as He wills. (1 Corinthians 12:11)  It is not up to us how many gifts we want or are willing to use but up to the Holy Spirit to give whatever He wants to whoever He wants whenever He wants.  It is up to us to appreciate all of them and to allow the Holy Spirit to use us in any of them to minister to others.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is God's way of empowering us to manifest His love to His Church and to cleanse us and make us holy.  We need therefore to acknowledge that love is necessary for the proper use of the Gifts - faith works by love.(Galations 5:6)  Love edifies others (1Corinthians 8:1) as God has shown His love for you by giving you faith to believe in and trust in and cling to and rely on Jesus.  Repent of anything that would hold you back from experiencing and walking in His fullness through the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.  Ask Him for it.  Receive it.  Freely it has been given to you - now freely give. (Matthew 10:8)  

And we are witnesses of these things;
and so is the Holy Spirit,
whom God has given to those who obey Him.  Acts 5:32

(1 John 1:3 KJV)  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
 
My serious interest on the subject of the Holy Spirit started at an early age, around the time I was 25, even cause I had asked my evangelical Baptist Church pastor if there was such thing today as empowering from God to live the Christian life.. when he replied no, and  because sadly I knew he basically was not to be trusted I decided that  I should look more seriously into the topic,  so I stared to read many   Books, and the Bible on the subject of the Holy Sprit next. When I next read the testimonies of others, it was clearly evident, undeniable  that some Christians  had experienced dramatic changes in heir personal life as a result of knowing Christ, and being filled with the holy spirit, even more dramatically than others too. Why the difference. And as I continued my study it became very evident that not everyone who professed to be a Christian, pastors, elders included were even firstly Christians. Imagine that church pastors were falsely still even reading clearly secular books to know more about God. It also became clear that many professing Christians were not serving God, but doing their own thing, serving themselves, or were trying to please others, mere men and women, or their denominations too. We have more perversion than power, more compromise than conviction and more playboys in the pulpit than prophets.  Because of their own sinful nature, human limitations next  falsely Men still try to limit God today as to what he God can and cannot do today with His Holy Spirit now as well by next their own false obstructions, confusions, distortions, over simplifications,  lies too. Me too there was a time in my life when I thought I was now saved and I had it all, but that was certainly not true. But man still cannot prevail against God, the light, the truth ever.  There is power available to you also to personally to overcome: disease, despair, defeat, sickness, sin and Satan! You can now have power over every attack of the devil! And I ask right now, Come, Lord Jesus, and fill these people full of the Holy Spirit.
 
Isaiah 10:27: And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
 

 

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; .Acts 10:28 ..Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon ...

In fact it became evident not just in the Catholic, Orthodox Churches but even in Christian Plymouth Brethren, Baptist, Alliance and Pentecostal churches now too that in some professing persons, pastors, elders, deacons too,  there still was no difference in behavior between the professing Christian person and the typical unbeliever, unchristian persons. Many so called Christians it became clear also to me they did not have a definite experiences where they had made Jesus Christ the sole Lord of their life, as next even a Christian Missionary Alliance church pastor had admitted to me. Now if many pastors were not preaching, living the empowered Christian Life how could the rest of the flock be aware of it as well? So I next talked to many many more pastors, and discovered many of them did not use or know the Bible in evangelical churches, but firstly they did not have a definite experience where they knew that God had even called them into the ministry. They became pastors by their own choice and were rather too often mere "hirelings", in the Job merely as as any other person is in a secular career. It next also amazed me how many writers, preachers claimed to be experts on the Baptism of the Holy spirit, the anointing,  when they had even admitted that they had never experienced it themselves.. ridiculous, and so how can you be an expert on something you have never experienced too? Many people it seems still can be easily deceived by the devil that they are following and doing God's will when they clearly now are not. There is much too much filthy manna, begging and stealing money now associated with Christians and why? They Cleary are no living the real anointed life but doing their on selfish thing still too. Many professing Christians , pastors recognize their lack of holy sprit in their life, but instead of honestly confronting the reason why they next lie and say that the miracles ended when the last disciple died. When the Bible was finished being written. It was a temporary empowering.  When Jesus was on the Cross He cried out, "It is finished!"
 
(Heb 13:8 KJV)  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.  is alive today.. and he can be alive today in you and me too.  And John 4:4 states, "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
 
Well I got good news for you but power of the cross, the anointing, it was not over rather the posited it was just the beginning  Jesus vetoed sin and the crucifixion with His  resurrection by the Holy sprit, and then Jesus next  gave a tag team hand off to the Holy Ghost to all others. The same anointing of Holy Ghost power that gave Jesus the power to overcome Satan's power, temptation!! The Holy Ghost power and anointing can be yours, today!! This is the source of power to overcome Satan everyday of your life if you continue to follow after God, to obey and do his will daily. If you rebel from God do not expect this anointing to be of help to you. You need to willfully continue to walk humbly in the light, in Jesus himself still too. And if you let God do it, he will empower, equip you to do his will, equip you uniquely for service to him like he has done to many others. When Jesus was being tried in Pilate's court, Peter denied knowing Jesus three times. He didn't have enough courage to even say that he knew Jesus. let alone be His witness, but after the Holy Ghost fell on the 120 at Pentecost. What a difference!! The first sermon Peter preached, 3000 were converted. You can have this kind of power now in your life. Yes it's free for the asking humbly to all who already do believe and are baptized in Jesus as both their Savior and Lord. You are free to live the empowered life if you daily choose to do so, or you can next even daily choose to walk merely in your own sinful thing, in the flesh.
 
Perhaps you still do feel you are not worthy to receive this power. Possibly some  have told you that this power is not for today. Or  you feel overcome by the pressures of life and don't know how to ask for the power of the Holy Ghost to take over your life.  Right now that all you need to do is simply to humbly ask God even again. The Bible says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (James 1:17). It is His desire that you receive everything He has for you! Tthe Bible declares it to be so!  " And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the hand-maids in those days will I pour out my spirit" (Joel 2:28-29). It's still for as many who call upon the name of the Lord!

Pass it on. The Lord wants to infuse you with an anointing, by the Holy Spirit, which will propel you through every line of Satan's defense. This is how you can overcome every situation as you receive "power from on high!" Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself was full of this power as He withstood the onslaught of the devil while fasting in the wilderness. The Bible records that John the Baptist baptized Jesus, the Lord of Glory, in the river Jordan prior to Him praying and fasting 40 days and 40 nights. At the end of this fast Satan came to Him and tempted Him in His spirit, soul and body to sin against God. But Jesus resisted Satan's offense with the statement, "It is written!" After this, Luke 4: 14 states, And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. If Jesus, walking as a man, needed the power of the Holy Spirit to stand against the assault of the devil, I ask you, "How much more do we need the power of the Holy Spirit?"  There's a Holy Spirit revival coming, and it's can also be coming even through your words, through your hands and through your life!

The baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy spirit, the Anointing , Tongues, Prophets,  Apostles, Miracle workers, tithing now too, the promised land, the prosperity gospel have become unarguably the most overused, overworked, misunderstood, misinterpreted, contentious  terms in the news media, in the non Pentecostal and in the Non Charismatic arenas,  in the fundamental religious circles all even because many of these people are mostly still serving self, doing their own thing, looking up to mere man and not God. Most people have never even firstly had studied, read what the Bible actually says firstly, not even many preachers.
 
Beyond the show of a doubt the devil himself  firstly really hates any references to the Holy Spirit, the anointed ones, the idea that Christians do have now empowering to overcome the devil too... and so now the devil uses any of his followers, those in the fundamental religious circles too now, to now  lie, twist, distort the truths.  and they falsely try to say something typical like this "If you check every single Biblical reference to the Anointing you should notice that " There is not ONE SINGLE reference to the anointing being a supernatural power given to human by which they are able to perform miracles... There is not ONE SINGLE reference to anyone being able to transmit the anointing by any means, including the laying on of hands... There is not ONE SINGLE reference to getting, keeping, increasing, or losing the anointing."
 
Mind you they these same  liars do have to Tear out the whole Old Testament for a start..  the prophets were clearly anointed, and performed miracles,  and the same Jesus yesterday, today and forever who lives in us today too, who was anointed and performed miracles  he had also said that believers will do even greater things now too.  In  the reality now after all Samson next lost his anointing.. and so did King Saul lose his anointing .. and David asked God not to take away his anointing too after he had sinned with Bathsheba..
 
It’s the frequent and methodical strategy of those people not Holy sprit filled, those people walking in the flesh that they do bash, recite against anyone who has evidenced the Holy Spirit anointing  still too, we all can see  these false professors  own false, unscriptural doctrine and practice. It’s now a charge of  their “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” and their disobedience of  “touch not the Lord’s anointed.”
  • The anointing is sacred, the anointing is the Holy Spirit, and all believers in Christ have the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We must be careful what we say about our brothers and sisters in Christ.

While the Antichrist and False Prophet themselves will possess the credential that they do reputedly perform miracles. While the devil does try to  counterfeit the miracles of God, those now done by Moses too, the existence of the devil and his bad works, the counterfeits now still does not nullify the present reality, existence  of God genuine gifts, miracles and real prophets, miracles workers, apostles  now too. REALITY.

To me it is so just unbelievable that any professing Christian persons  can even think of saying say that there is no special anointing  by the holy spirit and any Christian person today..
 
Yes the people who  are not anointed do not know what it is really like, but they are wrong to say there are no anointing by the Holy Spirit on others.

I admit that I have mostly stopped hearing for years now too or reading what the supposedly Christians pastors, authors say, write because I have made a real decision  a long time ago to only listen to God, to hear him only,  and only to write that which he speaks to me  to write, for I am not here on earth to get's man's useless approval, or any of his money too, for only God's blessing, approval counts anyway.
 
Secondly it is very clear that God know everything that I do anyway, firstly. so I too do seek to do his will in everything I do, by praying beforehand Lord what will you have me to do next?
 
He or she that trust mainly in  their  own wisdom understandings, or mainly in the advice of others is still basically a real fool, an unwise person.

Sadly too many persons are guilty of the sin of presumption, doing that which seems right in their own eyes, without checking first with God if it is the right thing to do. They can't check with God, basically cause they can't hear him. and they can't hear him cause they still do not really have a relationship with God, even cause they really do not spend time with him daily alone hearing him and talking to him..

The Anointing Breaks The Yoke

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing"  (Isaiah 10:27).     Just because one is a Christian counselor does not make his or her counseling effective.  Just because one knows the principles of the Word does not make his or her counseling effective.   Just because one is a dynamic or charismatic counselor does not make his or her ministry effective.  Education, knowledge, and experience are important, but none of these make one's ministry effective in the kingdom.

    "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts" (Zechariah 4:6).   The word "might" means strength, wealth, or force.  The word for "power" refers to human ability.  The answer is the anointing!

    The prophecy found in Isaiah 10:27 is a prophecy concerning the coming of Jesus and the anointing which is to rest upon him. Isaiah 11:2 gives us further insight.  "And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD"  (Isaiah 11:2).  Here we see the seven facets of the Spirit of God:

1. The Spirit of the LORD.
2. The Spirit of wisdom.
3. The Spirit of understanding.
4. The Spirit of counsel.
5. The Spirit of might.
6. The Spirit of knowledge.
7. The Spirit of the fear of the LORD.

    Isaiah later gives even more explanation concerning the prophecy.  "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;    To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;    To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified"  (Isaiah 61:1-3).     When we come to the New Testament, we see Jesus applying the Scripture to himself.  "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,    To preach the acceptable year of the Lord"  (Luke 4:18-19).  Luke in the book of Acts also explains, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him"  (Acts 10:38).

    Again, it is the anointing that breaks the yoke!  Human wisdom can not heal emotional wounds.  Human knowledge can not set free those who are spiritually bound.  Traditions and church rituals can't cast out a demonic spirit.  Human whit can not restore those who have emotional bruises (blows to his or her identity).  However, the anointing that was on Jesus can heal all those who have been oppressed of the devil. "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him" (Acts 10:38).

    We should understand that the ANOINTING did not cease when Jesus ascended into Heaven.  Joel prophesied concerning the anointing.  "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit" (Joel 2:28-29).  Please note the expression "all flesh" which means that is available to all Believers.

    The door to the anointing is open to all Believers, male and female, both young and old. "And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him"  (Acts 5:32).  Jesus told the Believers right before he ascended, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8).   Sure enough, the anointing came on the day of Pentecost.   "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance" (Acts 2:4).

     Here are several other examples of the anointing.  "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness" (Acts 4:31).  This occurred some time after the outpouring on Pentecost. Paul wrote, "Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God"  (II.  Corinthians 1:21).  Again see the anointing, "And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people" (Acts 6:8).   Stephen was not an apostle, but rather a faithful deacon.

    James wrote "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord"  (James 5:14).  Church elders should have the anointing.  However, it should not be limited to those is full-time ministry.

    If you are a Believer, you need the anointing to minister!  Every Believer should ASK for the anointing.  "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (Luke 11:13).  However, yesterday's anointing is not sufficient for today, nor today's anointing sufficient for tomorrow.  We should seek to be anointed daily, even twice daily.    "And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.   And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations" (Exodus 30:7-8).  The lamps were to be filled twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening.

    Remember, it is the anointing that breaks the yoke!  Now, some will declare that since they are already Believers that automatically gives them the anointing.  However, there is a big difference in the earnest of the Spirit and the fullness of the Spirit.  "That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,   Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory" (Ephesians 1:12-14).  This speaks to the "earnest" of the Spirit that one receives at the time of the rebirth which is an earnest of his inheritance. "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts" (II Corinthians 1:22).   "Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit" (II Corinthians 5:5).    However, now look at how Paul prays for these Believers who already have the earnest of the Spirit.  "Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: " (Ephesians 1:15-21).  Paul is praying for these Christians to be anointed with the HOLY SPIRIT of wisdom and revelation.  This can be directly cross referenced to, "And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD" (Isaiah 11:2).  Since both passages refer to the HOLY SPIRIT the word "spiri
