For those of you who know me, and some of those who don’t, you may know that I have been fight

For those of you who know me, and some of those who don't, you may know that I have been fighting a court battle for a little over two years now. The court battle was waged over whether or not I should be able to continue my career in construction equipment sales and rental in Florida. Well it is finally over! I guess it was really a draw? A very expensive draw. Was it worth it? I think that is the question that everyone is asking. Of course it was! You cannot put a price on the things I have learned over the past few years. In future blogs, you will hear more about these lessons. Had I decided to change career paths or just take time off from this industry, we would no doubt still be living in our small but pretty house with a pool in Florida enduring the hour and a half to two hour ride to get to work, suffering through this economic mess, and dealing with the politics and ass-kissing involved in working with another company. At one point, I actually worked 95 miles form my house and endured a 2 hour plus ride to work each morning. Just for the money? At that time, I thought a six figure position was worth the twelve to fourteen hour days. I thought I was building a better life for my family when in reality, I was the taking the enjoyment of life from my family.

You see, this was a battle about what could happen, not what actually happened. Could I have taken the accounts that I spent many years to build? Probably, but I didn't. After all, these people became my friends. I was no longer selling to them, they were buying from me when, and only when, it made sense for them to do so. They trusted me, and it wasn't worth losing that trust just to make a dollar. Could I have irreparably damaged the second largest equipment rental company in the US as they claimed in court? As confident as I am that I know the market and my clients, I don't think I could have done any significant damage, especially once the market deteriorated. Was I successful? Very, but in that environment, it's never enough, not that it should be, but you do not get any form of recognition, especially if you are not one of the "seasoned" veterans. That's what they call the older guys, most of who had the same or less experience than myself. I made more than most, I had the same or more experience, I just did it a different way. Did I have fun? Sometimes. Now? I only do something if it is fun. What did this suit do for my career? Well I guess you could say it fast tracked my desire to be on my own. I have several hobby projects that I am working on that if they lose their appeal, I drop them. No attachment, dependency upon them, I just drop them, they're hobbies! Do what you love and love what you do!

I think there's a whole bunch of people watching and waiting to see what's next for Rob Lewis. Nothing. I am going to continue to live in Paradise as long as I can building a life my wife and little girls can be proud of. Will we ever go back to Florida? Who knows, but not anytime soon!

www.STICKDEATH.com

This is one of my favourite flash sites - it's totally babbal - sick, sadistic and purely fun. I came across this site some 5 or 6 years ago and since then, I have been a great fan of this one. Awe-freaking-some stick animations - blood, blood and more blood. Rob Lewis is a genius mofo.

Old school Metallica fans, DO NOT skip the intro flash.

You might also wanna start with this: Mafia Bloopers

And then, the classic one - The Martyr Machine.

Previously, it used to be synced with live version of Slipknot song "New Abortion" but now Mr. Rob Lewis has done it with Lamb of God's song - Black Label (live version from Hellfest concert). It's not the Wall of Death this time, it's total blood. Awesome.

If only Hollywood makes a stick-men animation movie - the gore-est of them all.

Κάτι τόσο πρωτότυπο βρε αδελφέ. ME & YOU - Floating Heavy. Disco, Dub, Funky Breaks, Hip Hop, Electro, Broken Beat. Αυτός ο δίσκος έχει τα πάντα, μα πάνω από όλα.... έμπνευση. Πάρτε τον οπωσδήποτε. 4/5.
