I'm totally and completely addicted to this show... always have been and always will be!

I have to say, that I was actually pulling for Kim to be voted off the show.  Everybody kept saying what a "surprise" it was to have her voted off.  Are they kidding?  Did they watch her?  Bruno was right... she was "more cold and distant than Siberia!"  It was like she couldn't be bothered to actually try!

I can't remember during which episode I watched, but she said to the cameras, "I want to stay so that I can wear more pretty costumes."  WHAT?  Idiotic!

Then, all of the after-show interviews where everybody is going on and on about how "sweet" and "nice" she is and how she's never "performed" before.  GAG ME WITH A SPOON!  Isn't this the same Kim with Playboy, the sex tape, and a reality TV Series?  PPPAAAHHHLease!  Spare me.

I'm still rooting for Cloris... but, hope that she drops the serious act and gets drunk and verbally absuive again.  I really liked Warren Sapp with his Matrix Paso Doble with the eyeliner!  Go Warren!  Now, that guy has heart!  If Kim would have given it the same amount of heart... she'd still be in the running.

Jessica Simpson totally SUCKED last night.  Sorry, Jessica fans.  She sounded horrible and looked scared to death!  I really liked watching the dances to her songs, however... Cheryl Burke and Maksim C.  They looked like they needed to get a room.  And, guess what?  They were out at "One Sunset" the night before, hand-in-hand partying it up.  Apparently, they also left the club for a 10 minute "walk" behind the building.  Uh-huh... But, Maks says they're "just friends" and that Cheryl's been one of his best friends for years.  The entire time that the paparazzi is following them and interviewing them, he's too busy with his BlackBerry to be bothered.  I hate Maks!  Such an ego-maniac! 

The other dancers to Jessica's singing were Pasha and Anya from So You Think You Could Dance.  I actually saw them perform live in San Diego, and let me tell you... Pasha is friggin' hot!  He can shake his boootaaay!  Their dance was RED HOT and blew every dance OUT OF THE WATER!

I'm kinda bored with Brooke Burke... I mean she's hot, and a mom, and really good.. but, she bores me.  I don't know why.

Julianne and that kid from Hannah Montana are doing well.  Is his name Corey?  Well, they're good dancers, but he's so young that he just totally bugs me.  But, my kids like him.  Speaking of which, when the Jonas Brothers and Jessee McCartney were on... it was like the Superbowl for them! 

Susan Lucci just does absolutely nothing for me.  She reminds me of when Jane Seymore was on. 

My FAVORITE FAVORITE now, besides Cloris, is Lacey and Lance.  Lacey was one of the final 3 finalists on So You Think You Can Dance two seasons ago.  I also saw her perform live and her brother was in the audience behind me making entirely too much racket.  Anyway, they're so hip and cool!  I want them to win!

As for Toni, Mo, Misty, and the rest... I mean, they're okay... but they never like THRILL ME.

Debussy's Gradus ad Parnassum, and La Fille aux cheveux de lin were also two really nice pieces iplayed a little bit ago, if you care to look them up. and I playe da little bit more from Bach and Mozart, if anyoen cares. but one of my ABSOLUTE favourite pieces is Liszt & Paganini - Etude No.3 'La campanella'. i highly suggest you look this one up on youtube or something; it's AMAZING. and i love love love the ending so much. i hope i get a chacne to play it....well. a very famous and popular pianist is Maksim Mrvica, he's from..Croatia i think? he's pretty good looking xD plus he's an amazing performer! his song Exodus is one of my favourites, and his performance of Chopin's Revolutionary Etude is FABULOUS! the mp3 has liek...techno incorporated; it's pretty great. hahaha.

well, there's not much to say about school. except world history is a breeze. she says that she was surprised when she read over my homework, and she later found out that keun and i were both in apush last year, so i guess that's why she was so impressed with my essay frame or whatever. today was fun though, we just did activities. it's a silly class; i like it, i suppose. mainly because i have monica and keun in it with me : ) ap chem's a little difficult; i hope i will do better in it soon, however. the class itself isn't a waste of time like psychology or apush was, but we actually learn a lot of stuff and we honestly do work from "bell to bell". english still hasn't really seemed inviting to me, but hopefully it will become better. the fact that i know almost no one doesn't help at all. math! i really love math...the sophomores are great xD (plus my frosh, mei!) and its a pretty relaxed class where i have lots of friends in, so i'm glad for that. 

oh, prayer! i'm so glad for prayer. i love love love just hanging out with the people during c lunch and praying with them. they're all so encouraging and i love it. and i know this will sound bad, btu last year i was always very intimidated by everyone who came out to pray becaues they were all seniors and they always prayed such "long and deep" prayers. i was encouraged by them, but i couldn't help but feel a little iffy. this year is better because i know a lot more of the people and i'm a lot more comfortable with them. but anway, yes, it's a great part of my day and i know it will be one of my favourite memories about high school : )

He is really great! The way many classical music is played is even better when done by Maksim.

Although Maksim's music is mostly a re-doing of a classical piece, the way he made it (by adding techno in the background) makes it even greater!

Compare the original Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini played by Rachimanoff and the Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini played by Maksim. Compare the original Hall of the Mountain King to Maksim's Hall of the Mountain King. Nothing beats Maksim's remake.

If I only knew how to play piano, I'd surely follow Maksim's footsteps.

I really can't explain why his music is great. It's just that, by listening to it, you'll surely like it.

Head over to buy my starbucks too before we went to take a "MRT" and had a great time resting in the "MRT". Kenneth called and told me he got a S$19.90 present for me (well i expected it to be some shit thing) making me looking forward to it. However it turned out to be some s-h-i-t of me in a picture which is extremely un-glam. Anyways, it was a miracle that i met wenyi on the bus. Since we planned to take the "MRT" at first. Still, went up to the classroom and saw kenneth. For the first time, jasmine isn't with him. hehe. He was playing the piano while complaining about some other stuffs to us. As time moves on, more people came in. The familiar faces of each and everyone i see every week. All these brings back memories.. Sigh.

Coursework! Yes, hmm, isn't that bad today, think my accompaniment is still having trouble. oh man. Screw. Thank god the computer auto saved my work before it burst and died. Goodness, i got a huge scare. Still did my coursework until 4.15pm before the girls, mr wong and i were outside discussing names in the philharmonic orch, hmm kinda cool all those names like Thaddeus, and all those unique names you never seen before. damn instersting . Went to had late lunch in the canteen with them, prata. Okay, quite cheap considered to the rates outside hawker centers. S$1 for the egg one. Cool yeah. Went back up and rest before we start lesson officially going through last week O level paper, and i tell you, if that's my O level paper i will cry on the spot. Everything was wrong, other than world music. This shows how much i need to buck up on. Sigh. Not enough time. Lesson all the way till 7.30pm today. dead tired.

Oh and this is ian emoing cause he forget about 2 sentences in his coursework. :( poor thing, his composition is like damn nice! Gahhh. Yes and beside him is my mummy, Valerie, opps she's inside the picture and behind her is huishan, a musically talented pianist man, and beside her is yeling :D hmm, her face is cropped, and the person moving is perlyn ! Haha all my babes. Who bullies them, i shall be mean to them forever man. HOHO. well, you can bully kenneth by all means, he's mean to me anyways. anyways, ian was really sad i guess. Sigh, haha. it's okay, he's a chemistry pro. (:

kenneth have a grudge against issy as usual. 24/7 always against me. He said to wenyi " you know what relationship we share? A master and slave relationship" goodness, i nearly wanted to kill him, cut him and stick him in the stew. So lots of fun as usual, "what has 72 balls and ...." I was damn random " it's centipede" haha so you got to imagine a centipede carrying 72 balls on it's 110 legs. hmm tough. Anyway, it's already the past. Can't laugh it loud again. I miss them already. Did all our corrections and handed them in. Perfect. That marks the end of the lesson, rushed to the toilet since i was so urgent. Said bye to yawen & lyn. And the rest, before we leave to the bus stop with ian, mel, wong, ken, hs, yl, but still 74 to mrt station, could not scream today, since our train came first. Which is a good thing. And i was having a small marking session with mr wong. My two part ! Oh man, he marked on the spot, so scary. == got like 14/20 for the first one and 6/10 for the second one. Damn, there goes my A1.

Anyways, aldy left first, before the 3 of us, leaving bonian alone. hehe. And wong was wondering why was he with us at the most vulgar station. HAHA ! so we all headed to PS for dinner. and it's fast food AGAIN. I been having very unhealthy diet these days. And mel and i met his long time friend ! Nelson ! Hmm from wong description, he's "Tall, Dark, not very handsome" to us, he's " Tall, Average, Handsome." oh man, totally different from wong, and he's humorous ! yes. So we got lots of topics on melissa hometown which we were laughing away, but sometimes, nelson and i were like " huh? what are you 2 talking about?" Yes, and Uganda shall be one of my trip there in the future. Right mel? haha.

Left that horrid fattening place and said bye to both of them before we took a train back to the vulgar station and then back to bishan, saw many kcp-ians there. hmm wondering what are they all doing since it's already 10pm when i reached back bishan. & yes. Finally home at 10.30pm. shagged now. Currently sending rj songs and talking about the next week's performance. & yes, he got addicted to maksim songs like mad! haha! Hmm, all the best !

oh man sometimes i really wonder, and i really wonder. is it because music is our interest & thats why we are so distance away from the others who have no passion for music, Or is it really true musicians normally has a terrible fate than the others. Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Dvorák's, Vivaldi, Igor, Chopin, Wagner, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky's, and many others. All of them, either died in poverty or in good reputation. However, their friends all revolve around the world of musicians and artists, but oh well, society changes. We aren't in the wrong, so are you. Every single one of us have different passion and talents. Hell no am i gonna change it just because a few of you seem bothered by it. It's all gonna end, this year. Everything's gonna change, however, looking on the bright side, there's outings and more outings. YAY. BBQ's. i love it. at yawen's CONDO !!!!!! WSTTTTS.

Anyways, mr aloysius neo and mr kenrick chia is officially back from KE at 1.13am at my house. and they are busy burning midnight oil struggling with the concerts slide shows and everything. Hope it would be non forgettable night for everyone :D !

I was a bit nervous about watching DWTS last night. I can't believe I've allowed myself to get so hooked on this show. Perhaps it's not that I've "allowed" myself but that it's such a good show. It doesn't seem like it was a little over ten weeks ago that the new stars who would compete in Season 5 were announced. I was so disappointed. I had gotten to know those who competed the year before and "my" couple had won (Apollo Ono and Julianne Hough). I didn't really know anyone in the new group, and if I did know them, they weren't anyone I'd like to cheer for. And then when the first week begins - everyone is a little stiff - they haven't really bonded with their partners - just as I haven't really bonded with them.

Jennie Garth was one of the kids who had been in the t.v. series, 90210. I thought she was a rather plain girl, perhaps that's not the right description. She just wasn't a standout. Sweet, wholesome and ordinary. But she has really blossomed into a beautiful, young woman. I chose her from week one. I split my votes between Jennie and also Helio. How could anyone not adore Helio with that gorgeous smile and big dimples? l did think Mel B and Sabrina were both great. Extremley talented. I was shocked when Sabrina was voted off. I think everyone was. I thought Mel B had such a good sense of humor and was really cute, it was hard to want someone else to win. Evidently many thought the same thing.

I was so relieved that Marie was the one first chosen to leave last night. I think the show would have been lop-sided, and wouldn't have had the same feeling at the end. It worked out perfectly with two very talented people ending the show. Either could have won and those watching would have agreed with the results.

I don't know when I've ever had so much fun watching a t.v. show before. It was absolutely perfect. Tom Bergeron is so funny and a perfect host. He makes me laugh outloud and that's not easy. All of the contestents were fun and entertaining. The evening reminded me of those times you remember so well throughout life - the last day of school, the prom, occasions while raising your kids - all those special times.

Marie does know how to work the crowd. There are actually a lot of doll collectors out there who really think that Marie creates the dolls sold by her company. Marie calls herself a "doll designer". What she has is a $100 million doll company. Because the doll market got a little crazy, the really talented doll artists ended up creating dolls for big companies, like Marie's. Marie signs the back of the doll's head, but she didn't sculpt it. She has sculpted a few perhaps, but they only sell because she did not. The artistry isn't that of a Ping Lau or a Karen Scott. The very talented Karen Scott sculpted the Oprah doll in less than two weeks. I wish credit would have been given to her on the Oprah show.

I guess I bring her doll background up because of her now selling her Dancing with the Stars dolls. They are cute, but I think they're overpriced. Just my opinion. Because Marie is in the doll business, I thought that was a great move to offer the dolls for sale. But when I saw that next being "hawked" were replicas of Marie's earrings worn on the show which were designed by Nolan Miller and offered on QVC, I really thought a new low in tackiness has surfaced. Those who do compete on the show do experience a great publicity move (not always, but often), sell cd's and dvd's, do the Star's Tour - but nothing as blatant as the earrings. I worried what was next.

Tonight I hope the two last competitors are Helio and Julianne and Mel B and Maksim. Otherwise, to me - the show is taking a direction that isn't what I enjoy watching. I guess it seems I've been "Marie bashing" when basically I just wanted to say that I wasn't crazy about what's been happening this season on DWTS. It has a different feel.

Well i just got lucky enough...had a friend's wedding....which i was more than glad to attend..because i used to hate weddings as a kid....i found them simply too melodramatic and boring....and so  had shied away from weddings for a really long time, but that was 7-8 years ago.And in case any of u folks are wondering....i'm just 23 for godsake...and totally uninterested in  marriage......[ and moreover i'd have to find a female in the 1st place...] :D

And anyways i could'nt dare say "NO " to my pal and get shot for not coming....LOL....and add to that, this was going to be a College reunion of sorts..so i could'nt escape...and moreover i did'nt want to this time. 

i was dreading that this would be another of those boring trips , when u spent the majority of ur time dozing off...

and thats when one of my pals suddenly figured out that that i was going to turn 23 on the way back i.e. at midnight....and evry1 was eager to get our asses moving...me included.

I got a few really gr8 pictures along the way ...and who on earth says India is not beautiful, and is always filled with filth and dirt....well those who say so....u guys are wrong..Blatantly wrong...!!!

Okay so i'll cut the crap and move with post.....well the wedding was a big hit....considering that i was being a whiny ass earlier....but actually  i really enjoyed the whole thing...The DJ being very good, food and ofcourse

 Coming back to the post....well we started out in the morning [ Yeah i did take a bath..i was going to a wedding for christsake...LOl :D ] ..it was a 7 hour drive...took just 4 breaks ......and yeah we found this little stream by one of the highways....i was thinking of taking a dip...but that would have meant another delay. Anyways there was also this " spot the hottest girl around contest"  :D

whoever managed to take a snap of the most beautiful lass seen while on the road...without us having to stop would win...and obviously since i was not careful enough...i did'nt win...LOl...so me n my buddy had to treat the winner to a beer..

Post breakfast..we managed to take a few snaps....we had almost a year of catching up to do..since all of us college buddies had'nt seen each other for a year.....so the blaring music was replaced with some music which u listen to when on long drives...one of these tracks being a few ghazals " Koi Fariyad " was played a lil too many times......interspersed with slow tracks by The Corrs and Maksim and the Summer of 69...okay we were all nostalgic about college...

We stopped for quick lunch....but eventually ended up eating a unusually large lunch...i'm must tell u...after having travelled India north to south and all over central India and the east...[onlyBihar n W Bengal]..that some of the most delicious food is served in numerous roadside dhabas [ like the one above ] which u find in the middle of nowhere on the National and state Highways. Just so that u people know, we initally had panner tandoori masala and matar malai palak..it was finger lickin good [thank u for the tagline KFC]....but could'nt help ourselves and asked for kadhai Paneer....all this coupled with roti's , butter and mint chutney was like heaven. When u've stayed away from Mom's food for 4-5 years..and one day get food like this...u just cant help urselves...i know u must have started cursing me...for mentioning all that....and feeling hungry by now....!!!!!

All 3 of us were overloaded ...but we got half a dozen aloo paranthe packed for the road ........in case we got hungry again!!!!! .....which we obviously were by another 2 hours....this was when we had the big fight.....ofcourse...evry1 wanted to doze off...but some1 had to stay awake, some1 had to drive.... but after a meal like that ....u feel like u wanna hit the bed instantaneously.

Okay i was the one who lost the toss and remained awake .....but i took this opportunity in finishing off half the aloo paranthe with pickles.....the poor blokes who woke up later looked at me with threatning eyes... but were told to piss off....coz i was the one who had to stay up and drive....right ppl...???  lol

we got to the wedding by 2 pm.I wont go into the wedding details except that we did eventully manage to eat the feast...coz after dancing like anything for 3 hours in the "baraat"  procession i managed to digest a lot... :)

The wedding over....we all bid farewell to the new couple ....our chum and the new bhabhi...and yeah i was the one who was given the task of handing the groom the contraceptives....[ Thank heavens , i did'nt mention any names here..] or i would have been killed.....surely.

We left at 11 pm...another pal of ours hitching a ride with us on the wayback....

I was really sleepy and dozed off[ having eaten like a fatso and dancing like an animal].....so did the 3 others in the back..but then suddenly it was 12 a.m....

We parked by the side of the National Highway 3..fully deserted ....not even a light in sight except for the moon....and nothing available in a radius of 30 Kms....

So as was the norms in our Engg days...i  was dragged out ...and given the birthday bombs[read kicks on the butt].....My back and ass are still sore as i type this....

And since nothing else was available.. bottles of mineral water were emptied on my head....i'll tell u here that the temperature outside was freezing....but who listens to the birthday boy anyways!!!!!!

But for a second i thought i was back in college in 2006....the parties , the friends, the mayhem and din....i felt nostalgic....but then there were rounds of " Happy Birthday yaar/buddy/mate" , before the birthday bombs " Round II". :D

But this was one of the best and most weirdest and wackiest things i'd ever done in a while...try this sometime....and i assure u...its really great...[ okay stop sniggering, i'm talking about the roadtrip birthday and not the kicks on the butt] :)

Then came the calls.....many of them...i really hate the guy who hit upon the idea of roaming....not that i spoke on the phone any less....The next stop was a small tea stall...and the b'day celebrations were nothing but a " cut chai" at 3 a.m. and cold buicuits[ Nothing else was available] & the company of old buddies...and ofcourse the small fire for warming ur hands...  We got back at 5:30 a.m....and went to sleep.By the time i got up, it was a 1 pm...And i had to catch a train back to Delhi in 2 hours...so packed everything and a quick lunch later i was on the Train...the Intercity Exp. The rest of my 23rd B'day was spent on the train [ read uneventful n boring except for friends calling up and wishing me....i again hate the guy who introduced Roaming] till i disembarked at 7 a.m. the next morning...

Thinking for a moment ...i went on a journey and came back older.........now i'm no philosopher, so i leave u with this....so thats it for this post..

So now I am watching The Results Show...

They come back from a commercial and get ready to announce who the first star will be coming back... it's Marie and Jonathan! I was SHOCKED!!

Now I am trying to figure out who is going to be voted off, since Marie was my pick to leave this week.

So who's going to be voted off? Helio? Mel? Jennie? Do I go with my pick from the beginning of the season -- Jennie? Or do I pick Helio who has charmed his way into the semi-finals?

OK, they are ready to pick another couple to go to the finals... the 2nd couple dancing in the finals is... Mel and Max. I think we could see that one coming. My only problem with Mel B. is that she is already a performer and she "dances" with The Spice Girls. So how much of a challenge was this for her?

So now it's down to Jennie and Derek vs. Helio and Julianne.

So my pick on who is going to be voted off is Jennie and Derek -- yes, my pick to win it all at the start of the season.

I am really surprised on how much I talk about this show with my family. It is nice to have something fun to talk to them about.

I hate to say it but I basically fast forwarded through tonight's show. I do like seeing what goes on behind the scenes.

On to a little gossip. Well, I guess it's not gossip since it was on one of those magazine shows with Karina Smirnoff having surgery that was filmed. She had a nose job and the results were stunning. I think she was very attractive before but this slight change really becomes her. She had broken her nose twice and was having difficulty breathing. She'll be on DWTS soon so we can all see!

I quit work early to give myself plenty of time to watch the entire show. I'm so glad I did. I did worry a bit that those I would have voted for would have to go home because they didn't get my votes. I surely place a lot of importance on myself.

I wasn't impressed with Jenny's costume for the Jive. Tom Bergeron made a comment about craving vegetables after seeing her - and I would have to agree on that. I think she usually performs much better than the judges give her credit for. Her movements were a little wild at times but the 24 points was better than 21 points.

The fox trot - beautiful. I'm so impressed with Derek also. The first week I saw him, he seemed to be a kid. But he really has great confidence and talent that you soon forget how old he must be. The same with Julianne. I thought Jenny's dress was really pretty.

Cameron and Edyta - Viennese Waltz - 27

I'm just not a Cameron fan. He is a very good looking man, he's trying so hard and puts so much into it, but he just doesn't ring any bells for me. Not that I still have any bells left - but there is nothing. I had to agree with Len about the open shirt on the Waltz. He looked so handsome - their costumes beautiful, but he looked sloppy. A bow tie would have been a nice touch.

Confession - I fast forwarded through the Cha Cha so that should tell all on that.

Another unmemorable dance. I didn't like their costumes. All I could think of was the line of DWTS dolls Marie is selling and how the dress wouldn't look that good on a doll.
Len mentioned it and I did think of it when I saw the routine that it seemed very similar to the Sara Evans cowgirl costume and routine. Marie isn't a great dancer, but I truly give her credit for doing as well as she is. I think she would have been voted off long ago if she didn't have such a huge fan base. I do like her so much more than I did before DWTS. And, I send my condolences on the loss of her father. That family is amazing.

Helio and Julianne - Paso Dobles - 27

These two are great. I thought there was too much cape and worried the entire dance that someone was going to trip on it. Helio is adorable. What a smile. And I am so impressed with Julianne. She's absolutely wonderful.

Helio shined! I think this is my favorite dance of the season. The costumes were great - Helio looked so great in his banana-yellow zoot suit even though I kept thinking of Warren Beatty as Dick Tracy! They really deserved perfect 10's on that one.

Mel and Maksim - Tango - 26
Mambo - 29
Mel is definitely the best celebrity dancer. She and Maksim really dance well together. He's a great teacher - she has her Spice Girl background. There is just something though that doesn't make me root for them. I admire their work, I think they're fantastic - but that's it. She's funny - he's adorable. I have no idea why I feel this way.

I missed writing my blog last week. I just wanted to mention that I was glad it was Jane who left.

I am in awe at the body changes that occur on that show. Marie looked very matronly in the beginning and now has knocked 15 years off and looks so great. If she does have to leave, she won't leave a loser (except weight) because she gained a complete makeover. The same is true with many of the stars. But, when a pencil thin, spindly person like Jane goes around on shows telling all that she lost 22 lbs., that is NOT a good thing. She is a bit too thin and should have been drinking Ensure to keep her weight up. That was not a dig. The 15 years that Marie lost by losing weight, Jane gained by losing weight. Go figure.
