Humberto Castro was born in Havana, Cuba on July 9, 1957. He is one of the most important artists of the 80’s generation in Cuba. His work and artistic attitude influenced later generations within the intellectual scope in the island. He has received numerous international awards and his work is internationally acclaimed and shown in renowned museums and private collections.

Wow, she's getting so big! Another month has flown by and Chelsea's sitting in her rocking chair again. It is hard to believe that she's three quarters of the way through her first year. On with the update...

We're aren't getting anywhere with her eating solid foods. In fact, I would say she's regressed. She just keeps spitting the food out now that I've made it just a tiny bit thicker. I've also tried straight stage 1 fruits. At first I thought she liked it, but now she doesn't. I guess I'll have to go back to the water with just a bit of cereal. Oh and I'm also trying to get her to take liquids (milk/water/juice) from a sippy cup/bottle/straw and again, no success. She seemed to like soy milk one drop at a time, but I'm not going to feed her with a dropper like she's a baby bird.

Not only is Chelsea pulling up to a standing position seemingly all of the time, but in the last week she's started to cruise the furniture. And she can stand in place without holding onto anything for a short amount of time so she's getting more steady on her feet. It won't be long before she takes her first steps, I predict.

She's teething! Chelsea's two bottom teeth are making their way through her gums. Her top gums seem swollen so I wouldn't be surprised if her top teeth appear soon too.

Sleeping... hmm. She'll get a mixed review here. Her morning and afternoon naps are generally about 2 hours each, give or take. And she was sleeping through the night for a couple of months. However, in the last couple of weeks she's been waking at 4a, 5a or 6a. After I feed her, she will go back to sleep, but it's not fun for me be woken up before morning. In the past I would have let her fussed and she would have gone back to sleep. But we've moved her into the nursery which is right next to Mallory's room, so I'm afraid to let her cry for any amount of time because then I'll have two awake girls on my hands. I am very tempted to set the pack'n'play back up in the guest room and have her sleep in there again so she can fuss without waking up her sister. I'll give it a couple more nights before I go the PnP route.

Chelsea is now taking baths in the big bath tub. After a test run alone, she now bathes with Mallory. They both seem to enjoy being in there together.

She's a bit quirky! Chelsea already likes to dance. She moves her head, shoulders and torso when she hears music she likes. And for whatever reason she will sometimes tilt her head sideways when she's looking at you, almost the way a dog will if he hears something strange. It is so sweet looking when she does it. She's also very noisy and makes a lot of da-da-da, ma-ma-ma, deh-deh-deh and nah-nah-nah sounds. She is just as sweet as ever, except when you take something away from her. She then throws a little fit. And like most babies, she seems to find the smallest bit of dirt, fuzz or Cheerios dropped by Mal and immediately puts it in her mouth. We are constantly checking her mouth to see what goodies are in there. Now that she has two teeth, that's a dangerous venture!

If you’ve experienced homophobia etc, please give an example. : Not against me personally, but there is one thing that stands out in my mind very clearly... i was on a bus in San Francisco with two new friends who were from another state. They were talking about a movie called the crying game where the lead actress turns out to be a man, but her male lover stays with her anyway because he is so in love. The two guys I was with were saying things like, "Oh man, that's so gross! How creepy!" I didn't know what to say because we were on a packed bus in a very liberal city, and I was feeling pretty emabrassed at them speaking very loudly about this movie in a negative way. Then, I'll never forget, a man stood up to exit the bus. As he wlked past me, he looked me in the eyes and said "my lover is trans-gender." I was frozen with emabrassment, and all I could manage to say was, "good for you", but what I meant to say was, I'm sorry I'm with these ignorant assholes who don't realize that we're on a public bus in San francisco where half the people here could be gay. I felt like a sleaze bag just for being associated with them, it was terrible.

What does being out mean to you? : Being out to me means that you live your life the way you are, and you're not afraid to let everyone know. That being said, I'm not all the way out with my family yet because I never really had to say anything. I am now married to a man, so I figured it was pointless to tell my parents that I'm bisexual. I do plan on telling them though, for my own peace of mind. It feels good to tell people the truth about who you are.
What differences, if any, did your cultural background make to your experience of coming out? : Well, I come from a pretty liberal family, so when i told my sister she was totaly ok with it. I could tell she was a little thrown off because she wasn't expecting me to say hey, I'm bisexual, but she was really understanding and accepting of it. I think the rest of my family would probably be the same way.
What does the concept of the closet mean to you? : Being in the closet can mean so many things. You can be in the closet if you're experimenting with your sexuality without telling anyone, you can be in the closet if you know and understand your sexual preference but don't wish to tell anyone... it's different for everyone I suppose. For me, it's all about not wanting other people to see me differently, even if I know they are liberal people. Living with your iner most thoughts and feelings withought expressing them is being in the closet for me, which not a place I wish to be.
What advice would you give someone wanting to come out? : I would do it when it feels right. If you are experimenting with your sexuality or gender, don't feel pressure to go right out and tell everyone. If that's what you feel is right at the time then tell whoever you want. Honestly though, you'll know when it's time. You'll get a feeling that you just cant keep it in anymore, followed by a brief feeling of fear, but once you just say it you'll feel so much more free.
If you could do it all again, would you do it any differently? If so, how? : I would have done it sooner. I would have come out a long time ago. It's never too soon to be yourself if you feel the time is right.
Anything you want to add? : Yes, I want to ask everyone to visit the Matthew Shephard Foundation online and give a donation. October of this year marks the 10 year anniversary of Matthew's death, and I think it's important that we all reflect on our lives, and the choices we make every day. Matthew died because two hateful men decided they were going to beat up a "fag", and to think there are still people in this world that believe hate crimes don't exist. Das wesentlich dramatsiche Spiel wurde dagegen von Liverpool geboten, die es mit dem aufstrebenden Team von Manchester City zu tun bekamen. Und zunächst sah es tatsächlich so aus, dass die Citizens dem Rekordmeister die erste Saisonniederlage zufügen könnten. Nach 19 Minuten gingen die Gastgeber nämlich durch ein Tor von Ireland in Führung, bei dem die Abwehr Liverpools keine sonderlich gute Figur machte. Noch in der ersten Halbzeit konnte Manchester erhöhen, als Garrido einen Freistoß direkt im Kasten von Pepe Reina unterbrachte. Doch die zweite Halbzeit zeigte ein anderes Liverpool, dass die Partie noch nicht aufgab. Und so traf dann in der 55. Minute Starstürmer Fernando Torres nach Vorarbeit von Arbeloa aus kurzer Distanz zum Anschluss. Die Gäste drängten nun zwar auf den Ausgleich, doch Manchester ließ sich nicht unterkriegen und hatte durch Robinho eine hochkarätige Chance, das Spiel entgültig für sich zu entscheiden, doch der Millionenzugang vergab kläglich. Ab der 67. Minute mussten die Citizens dann mit 10 Mann das Spiel beenden, da Zabaleta wegen eines rüden EInsteigens gegen Xabi Alonso mit klar Rot vom Platz flog. Wenig später war es erneut Torres der ein weiteres Mal traf, als er eine Ecke von Gerrard per Kopf ins Tor lenkte. Es war bereits der 5. Saisontreffer des Spaniers. Liverpool gab sich in der Folge mit dem Unentschieden nicht zufrieden und Torres hatte eine 100 %-ige Chance um das Spiel komplett zu drehen, vergab diese aber aus ca. zwei Metern. In den letzten Minuten musste dann auch Liverpool mit zehn Mann spielen, nachdem Skrtl verletzt vom Platz musste und man bereits dreimal gewechelt hatte. Doch das schien die Reds nicht weiter zu behindern, denn buchstäblich in letzter Minute gelang Dirk Kuyt noch der Siegtreffer. Liverpool wahrt mit dieser imposanten Aufholjagd alle Chancen im Titelrennen.

In diesem kommt nun auch ManU immer besser in Fahrt, das 2:0 gegen Blackburn siegte. Arsenal dagegen muss derzeit ein wenig abreissen lassen, da man in Sunderland nur zu einem 1:1 kam und das auch nur, weil ausgerechnet "Kopfballungeheuer" Cesc Fabregas in letzter Minute per Kopf traf. Weiterhin überraschend gut schlägt sich Hull City - quasi das Hoffenheim Englands - die sich mit dem 1:0-Sieg gegen Tottenham auf den dritten Platz der Tabelle verbesserten und die Spurs weiter in die Kriese stürzen.

Die weiteren Ergenisse:

Ici, on ne voit pas très bien, en raison du contrejour, causé par le soleil couchant, mais si l'on regarde bien, on peut voir l'ouverture pratiquée dans la forêt, pour laisser place à l'A-5.

On voit l'amoncellement de blocs de styromousse, installés afin de servir de base à la chaussée de l'A-5, en direction sud.  Cette technique est utilisée pour réduire le poids des matériaux qui servent de base à la chaussée.

En me retournant vers le nord, on voit la fin de l'amoncellement de blocs de styromousse, à l'endroit où il reste encore un peu de montagne à retirer.

Au bout des blocs, en regardant plus loin, vers le sud, le terrassement de l'A-5 sud est plus avancé.

Cette fois, c'est la chaussée vers le nord, que l'on voit, mais en regardant vers le sud.  À l'avant-plan, une potence de lampadaire, avec la conduite électrique, en plastique.  Au-delà de la potence, la conduite est fraîchement recouverte de sable,...

...alors que si l'on regarde vers le nord, la conduite n'est pas encore recouverte.  Au loin, à droite, c'est la route 105.

À nouveau, la chaussée nord, vue d'un peu plus loin, vers le sud.

Sur la chaussée sud de l'A-5, un plan de concassage.  Il est fréquent, sur des chantiers de cette envergure, que l'on installe une telle usine directement sur le site, ce qui réduit le transport de la pierre fraîchement dynamitée.

Entre les deux chaussées, un poste de pesée, pour les camions qui transportent la pierre concassée.

Le soleil commence sérieusement à baisser.  Ici, à gauche, la bretelle d'entrée, depuis le chemin de la Rivière, et à droite, la chaussée nord de l'A-5.

Nous voici tout près du viaduc que l'on a vu dans la première moitié du paquet de photos.  En contrebas, la bretelle de sortie, à la fin actuelle de l'A-5 nord.

Cette fois, c'est le viaduc de l'A-5, en direction sud, au niveau du chemin de la Rivière.  Au loin, les feux des véhicules qui prennent l'A-5 sud, vers Gatineau.

Dans les commentaires reçus suite à la publication de la première moitié des photos de ce chantier, celui de Félix, qui me disait que ce petit bout de chemin, qui relie la fin actuelle de l'A-5 à la route 105 n'est pas une portion de chemin de la Rivière.  À proprement parler, il a raison, parce que l'intersection de la route 105 et du vrai chemin de la rivière est située à environ 125 pieds au sud de celle de ce chemin de raccord.  Je ne voudrais pas créer de désaccord, ici; il est plus que probable que la municipalité de Chelsea, là où se situe la scène, n'appelle pas ce raccord "chemin de la Rivière", mais quand l'A-5 sera prolongée, la sortie 21 sera identifiée comment, d'après vous?  Je n'ai pas interrogé qui que ce soit, au MTQ, mais il est plus que probable que l'on voit, sur la supersignalisation, la mention "chemin de la Rivière", probablement accompagnée d'une mention pour le Parc de la Gatineau, parce qu'il n'y a pas vraiment autre chose, dans les environs, que ce soit un chemin principal, ou un périmètre urbain quelconque.

Par contre, ce même Félix a aussi mentionné que "ça sent 2009".  Sur ce point, le MTQ, sur son site web, prévoit que ce tronçon sera effectivement ouvert à l'automne de 2009.  Le site raconte également, de façon plus vague, en utilisant le terme "échéancier technique planifié", que le tronçon suivant, de six kilomètres et demi, qui permettra de relier l'autre tronçon existant de l'A-5, près du village de Wakefield, dans la municipalité de La Pêche, sera construit entre 2009 et 2012, alors que le dernier, long d'environ un kilomètre, qui permettra d'éviter une section particulièrement dangereuse, sur la route 105, devrait être réalisé à partir de 2013, et être ouvert à la circulation en 2014.

Liverpool setzte sich deutlich gegen den PSV Eindhoven durch und war zu keiner Zeit gefährdet. Schon nach vier Minuten konnte der Kop die 1:0-Führung der Heimmannschaft durch Dirk Kuyt feiern. Noch in der ersten Halbzeit erhöhte Robbie Keane mit seinem langerwarteten ersten Tor für die Reds. In der zweiten Halbzeit erzielte Gerrard ein drittes Tor in dieser CL-Saison bevor Eindhoven wenigstens den Ehrentreffer erzielte.

Arsenal wollte verständlicherweise die Schmach vom vorangegangenen Wochenende tilgen und zeigte von Beginn an wer der Herr im Emirates Stadium ist. Porto hatte im Grunde keine Chance und lag in der Halbzeitpause entsprechend mit 2:0 in Rückstand. Robin van Persie und Emanuel Adebayor hatten für die Gunners getroffen. Und das wiederholten die beiden in der zweiten Halbzeit noch mal, so dass Arsenal mit 4:0 einen souveränen Sieg einfuhr.

Manchester United hatte gegen Villareal ja keinen besonders guten Start erwischt, konnte sich im zweiten Spiel bei Aalborg jedoch wieder in alter Stärke zeigen. Die Dänen waren dem englischen Meister deutlich unterlegen und mussten in der ersten Halbzeit zunächst das Tor von Wayne Rooney hinnehmen, bevor Millionenzugang Dimitar Berbatov zwei weitere Tore für den Titelverteidiger beistreuerte.

Und dann war da noch Chelsea. Dass man den rumänischen Club aus Cluj nicht unterschätzen sollte, dürfte ja nach dem Überraschungserfolg gegen Rom auch in London angekommen sein. Stellt sich dann die Frage, warum Chelsea gegen Cluj wenig überzeugen konnte. Man spielte fast schon überheblich und kam doch zu kaum Chancen und bot eher eine unterdurchschnittliche Leistung für einen Kader, der em von Cluj doch eigentlich weit überlegen sein sollte. Am Ende liefen die Blues sogar Gefahr einen Gegentreffer zu kassieren. Und beschweren hätte man sich da dann nicht dürfen. So ging das Spiel dann fast schon ein bißchen glücklich 0:0 aus.

Damit ist Liverpool derzeit mit 6 Punkten am Besten in die neue CL-Saison gestartet (letztes Jahr hatte man nach drei Spielen einen Punkt). Die anderen drei haben nun nach je einem Sieg und einem Unentschieden 4 Punkte auf der Haben-Seite.

Chelsea are suing FC Lyn Oslo to recover the £16m they paid to settle the John Mikel Obi transfer.

Mikel Obi signed a youth contract with Lyn in April 2005.  Both Manchester United and Chelsea claimed a professional contract with the player.  After a drawn out process, Chelsea paid Lyn £12m and Manchester United £4m to sign the player.

Then Lyn chairman Morgan Andersen was convicted of fraud in Oslo.

Chelsea believe their transfer was based on falsified documents that John Mikel Obi had an employment contract with Lyn.  They hold Lyn responsible for the £16m, and seek no claim against Manchester United.

Felipão está com tudo mesmo no Chelsea! O clube ofereceu uma poltrona no conselho diretivo. Um reconhecimento que nem o técnico português José Mourinho, que conseguiu vários títulos no comando dos blues, conseguiu. A assessoria de imprensa do gaúcho ainda não confirmou o convite.

Maine ne duelam si noi in sfarsit cu unul din greii Europei: Franta. Meciul se disputa la Constanta, cu casa inchisa. Asta confirma inca o data interesul fanilor din provincie cu toate ca nationala a dezamagit in ultimele doua partide (in special cu Lituania, 0-3 la Cluj). Cu totii speram la o victorie, incurajandu-ne favoritii: unii de la Constanta, altii din fata televizoarelor. Daca Romania nu castiga, Piturca isi da demisia, ca asa e de bun gust, nu? Totusi, poate ca nu.

Asta vrem cu totii, normal, insa nu ne gandim ce e in sanul nationalei in perioada asta. Ok, o luam progresiv. Romania trece printr-o pasa proasta iar Piturca si-a dat in sfarsit seama ca unii jucatori sunt de-a dreptul depasiti de situatie. OK, trebuie convocati altii care sa asigure viitorul echipei nationale, iar selectia de aceasta data a fost aproape partiala (cu mentiunea ca Trica, St.Radu si Ghionea aveau loc in echipa, iar Gaman inca e mult prea inexperimentat). Ce ne facem insa cand anumite hiene albite pe langa gurita, din interiorul echipei strica toata atmosfera, ii fac pe altii sa se simta prost si mai ales mai au si gura mare pe langa antrenor? Pai e logic: exclusi din lot. Avem insa si niste probleme. Inteligenta lui Sandu ii explica sumbru acestuia ca e mai bine cu respectivul in echipa, si mai bine trebuie dat afara antrenorul (Nu ca ar fi prima data: vezi episodul Hagi-Popescu-Piturca).

Si, ca sa ducem si noi la bun sfarsit spiritul asta national, mai bine murim onorabil decat sa murim in echipa cu unii care sfideaza pe toata lumea, iar bunul simt lasa mult de dorit in cazul lor. Ii urez lui Mutu sa isi umple frigiderul pe Ghencea, si de ce nu, si la Constanta (asta pentru ca pur si simplu nu merita mai mult), iar Romania sa castige cu 2-0, prin golurile lui Marica.

A lot has happened since I last sat down to utter my frivolous thoughts on these pages. So what better way to reignite the flame, than by updating what's happened in the past few weeks? Here we go, then:

• In the world of football, or more accurately the Barclays Premier League, Chelsea sit pretty at the top with Liverpool hanging onto their blue coat-tails, separated only by goal-difference. At third are Arsenal Manchester United Manchester City.... Hull City!! No, that is NOT a typo.
• The PC game FIFA 09 released in Europe with great fanfare, but was leaked onto the bit-torrent network at least 1 day before its official launch.
• My days as a bored, employed but not yet called up graduate should be coming to an end soon. Yes!!
• Speaking of bored, I learnt that the Internet is a great way to spend your time. Or rather, waste it.
• The international break is quite a pain in the neck. No football on the telly.
• My room has undergone a mini renovation of sorts.
• My computer still loves me and refuses to let me stay away from it for more than an hour.

And all is well with the world! :)

A recurrence of a back complaint initially suffered before summer has sidelined national captain John Terry. In the absence of the Chelsea stopper, Rio Ferdinand will skipper the country.

The Manchester United defender recently said how his international career would end a disappointment if he did not lift silverware while wearing the Three Lions on his chest.

To even get to compete in the World Cup in South Africa, England will first need to qualify for the tournament.

Head coach Fabio Capello has orchestrated a winning start thus far, and if England are to capitalise on their early lead over Croatia then another two wins are essential.

England first host Kazakhstan on Saturday, before travelling to Belarus for their fourth matchday midweek.

Ferdinand told Sky Sports how he is relishing being captain, and is looking forward to leading the team out at Wembley Stadium:

"Being captain in any game is great, but leading out England in the first World Cup qualifier at Wembley is very special. I am very much looking forward to it. I will cherish this moment."

"The biggest thing will be walking out at Wembley. It is a fantastic new stadium and the home of our national team. To lead England out against France in Paris was great, but I think this will up the ante even more," he said.

"Being at home in front of a sell-out crowd, in front of our own fans, my family there as well - I can’t wait."

Ferdinand is however lamenting the absence of his defensive partner, he said:

"John is a top player and to miss anyone of that calibre is disappointing... But there are pros and cons to every situation. He is out of the team through injury, which is disappointing, now someone else has to come in and throw their hat into the ring."

"Whoever the manager deems right to play will go in with every confidence and produce the goods."

Capello added:

"It is a problem in the back for John Terry... (But) we have plenty of players, we have the substitutes, I am sure the substitute of John Terry will play well."

A devenit printre cei mai buni fotbalisti din Serie A. Luni la rand s-a scris despre Mutu, insa, nu despre tatuajele, masinile sau femeile lui, ci despre golurile marcate. Si asta doar datorita tehnicianului portughez. Asa ca Mutule, maine, ar trebui, sa-l saluti macar, pe fostul tau antrenor, sau sa-i transmiti prin Chivu, ca ii multumesti pentru modul in care a procedat atunci...Fii sigur, ca daca n-ai fi luat toate cluburile din Londra la rand, erai si acum favoritul lui Mourinho la Chelsea...

Here's some exciting news: Neil Warnock has said he is "confident" - his words not mine - of getting Scott Sinclair back on loan from Chelsea in January.

The tricky winger was instrumental in our rise up the league during his spell at Selhurst last season and getting him back would surely have the same effect. He isn't getting much of a look in Chelsea so no doubt some first-team football is just what he wants, and needs.

There were rumours of making his loan move a permanent one at the end of last season but that's pushing it. He is obviously a special talent and all the while he's doing well on loan somewhere, the head teacher at Chelsea will be keeping tabs on him.

But a cheeky three-month loan wouldn't go a miss and players like Scannell and Moses could learn a thing or two from him.

Here's hoping then.

So West Hams Icelandic owner is now skint, they owe £32 million to Sheffield Utd, have a squad the size of a Rekjavik suburb and a wage bill higher than the annual cod income of Iceland. Ok, I've used some artistic licence there but the point is valid. Is this just the tip of the iceberg? Who's next? Will the credit crunch mark a Premiership avalanche into the abyss of debt, insolvency and closure?

We all pay for the Premiership, through tickets, replica shirts and Sky but what we pay isn't enough, your favourite Premiership club is almost certainly insolvent. It's out goings are bigger than it's incomings. It is almost certainly propped up each month by your freindly, band wagon jumping billionaire. Man City and Chelsea are probably ok as long as thier benefactors don't get bored or shot (behind you Roman). The rest? Can you really be sure theira fortunes aren't tied up in one of the hundreds of banks across the world that are collapsing? Trust me West Hams current predicament won't be the last and when it does go wrong as at Newcastle who will pick up the pieces? They are hardly breaking down Mike Ashleys door are they? Do you think he actually opened one of those spam e-mails "My brother is a king in Nigeria and we need to deposit £400 million pounds in your bank. Please send you bank details to Nigeria Bank acct no 12345567. It is safe and you can trust me. Adebola Mbwenga" I digress but again the point is valid.

The reality is that Premiership football is a money pit, virtually no clubs make money, Chelsea has cost Abramovich half a billion and continues to run at a loss. Mike Ashley has propped up Newcastle, paid of old debt and been abused to the point that he has to sell. There are so many clubs owned by overseas wealth that the playing field has been levelled to the point where financial investment no longer guarantees success. Jack Walker brought Blackburn the title when he was the ONLY one. Now if there are 15 clubs with huge backing one of them will finish 15th which is no reward in the bank balance or the ego.

I suggest you look beyond the back pages and start reading the financial columns and find out where your sugar daddy stashes his cash.  West Ham should have seen the writing on the wall, any link with Kerry Katona, however tenuous, should have been a warning. Mmmm frozen prawns.
