Today Cool Hunter would lead me to a list that features 100 best blogs that discuss making money online (# sigh #).

From here the journey of course went on to number 1 problogger.net.

At problogger.net I found a screencast video on CrazyEgg - "a click tracking tool that creates a heatmap of where readers click when on your blog".

I have been housecleaning my Mac for a couple days.  It has slowed down a lot recently and I hate slow.  I realized that my itunes library was 60 gigs, and that takes up a lot of hard drive space!  It is stupid really, because I don’t listen to all of that music (and a lot of it was books, or audio from leaders like John Maxwell).  It would take weeks just to listen to all of it once.  I purged, now it is down to 30 gig.  Music is my downfall, I have actually been banned by Trish from buying anything new on itunes for the past couple months. 

I also have been spending a lot of time reading other blogs.  There are some fantastic ones out there… truly worth the time reading.  I have a Google reader that pulls the recent posts and updates them so I don’t have to go looking.  You can find many of these in my blogroll to the right, but I am going to suggest you follow the links next to go and read some of there stuff – it is awesome!

My favorite is Carlos Whittaker – he goes by Loswhit.  He is a worship leader at Buckhead Church in Atlanta.  He has some really cool stuff to say and he has quite a blogosphere following.  Check out his blog Ragmuffinsoul

One of my other favorites is Aaron Ivey’s blog.  He is a musician with a huge heart to help others.  He and his wife have adopted a crisis health ceneter in Hati and have been posting blogs to raise money to help keep it open.  His blog isn’t always about rasing money and awareness, usually it is about life, so check it out here…  Aaron Ivey’s Paper Mirror

Our friends that moved to Thailand from Colorado Springs have had an interesting time learning new culture, new food selections, new wild life, and a new language.  It is cool to see how the internet keeps us all connected.  You can follow their life in a foreign land at Transplantingme

I just found a cool blog from Pete at Cross Point Church in Nashville TN.  He seems to be a really cool guy that has a great sense of humor (check out his “why we had kids” posts) visit his blog “without wax” here.

There are several others I read, but these are my favorites – I will read them first and leave the others to wait when time is limited…

Okay, so I have rambled and raved, now I want to hear from you… what blogsyou’re your FAVORITES?  Not just what you read, but the ones you do not miss; I would love to read a few more… you can even plug your own if you would like to!

We have been reading Vince Antonucci's book "I Became a Christian and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt, as a church.  I have loved this book and working for a christian retailer I have had the pleasure of putting it in the hands of a lot of people.

Vince is incredibly funny, and has some great insight.  And he really has a heart to see people connect with God in a fresh new way.  One that lasts...

Anyway Vince received a "Google alert" (as I am sure he will with this post and this one) Then decided to mention my blog on his.  As a result my blog has received the most hits ever for a single day. 

I started this blog back in January and so far these have been the most visited posts, in no particular order.

Blog Maverick: the Mark Cuban Weblog is a great example. In current articles, Mark Cuban has centered his writing mainly on economics and the stock market. These articles are posted on the home screen, in chronological order, giving readers immediate access to his writing without following miles of cyber-links and blue highlighted text. Cuban also responds to some of the comments his articles receive on the front page, sign-posting the author by name before responding. This interaction, while common of blogs, seems to be emphasized clearly on Blog Maverick; Cuban does a great job with making his website connect with the reader, and direct his writing towards their responses rather than out of place material. I also approve of the “Blogs I Read” hyper links on the right hand side of the page. They make interesting blogs, some of the same topic and style, available to the readers in an easy access format. I also liked the catchy title; it implies a strong break from the normal, making the writing more appealing, even though the web page itself is very open and inviting.

However, there are a few things I do not approve of. Firstly, the blog is…well bland! There is no color or background theme; it’s a white screen with a title bar at the top. If I have the option/time, I would like to make my blog much more colorful and inviting. I also do not particularly like the fact that, while readers do respond to Cuban’s articles, responses are not easily visible from the main page. When I create my site, I would post the responses to articles directly below the articles themselves. Furthermore, the writing on the page is limited to a column that is not nearly as wide as the page itself. I have to do a lot of scrolling down to read articles, which I do not seem to enjoy (I don’t know what ill do when they post 500 articles on the page…but I’ll whine about it for now). I plan on putting the title of every article I write at the top of the page, so readers can purview what they can read without wasting an hour of their time scrolling through articles that they have no interest in. Sounds fair, right?

Jeff Tincher presents Why Can’t I Relax? | Daddy`s Toolbox posted at Daddys Toolbox. A candid look at stress, and how difficult it is to let go of. The author also shares the major cause of why he can't relax around his kids: the loss of his sister, Jennifer, when he was a boy. 

babbo presents Dad Gets a New Title posted at DadTalk. Brett explores the ongoing challenge of trying to balance being a parent and a WAHD. Yes, I said WAHD. Read his post for the definition that's less gross than this acronym sounds.

Reservoir Dad presents Northern Dads Group Guest Blogger #1 – Jack posted at Reservoir Dad, saying, "This is a post from one of the Dad's at my local Dad's group." The post revolves around what the local dad's group talks about when they get together. Although dads from older generations might think raising kids is "piss easy," most of us modern day dads need to get together once and a while to discuss stuff.

Reservoir Dad presents No Point Crying Over Spilt Weetbix (with an intro to Dr Drowser) posted at Reservoir Dad. Just for the record, I usually only allow one submission per daddy blogger. But since Reservoir Dad's other post is by a guest blogger, I'm making an exception. Plus, this is a great post! It is a realistic look at a (difficult) day in the life of a real dad.

Jeremy Neal presents What Kind of Dad Did You Have? posted at Discovering Dad. Written by guest blogger Matt Pfingsten, who shares that his dad went from great to awful rather quickly. "It was as if someone flipped a switch in his head that instantly transformed him..."

babbo presents, An Interview with Mark Brady, Ph.D: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. Mark's insight on how the brain of a child is physically damaged by emotional abuse, yelling and hitting is amazing. We also discuss parental exhaustion/stress and how to help our kids develop "secure attachment."

I came across many bloggers who encouraged me to go ahead and not give up when things got really tough, because they amazed me with their knowledge and zeal and are now a part of this new facade of my life. There were posts which made me laugh when I was feeling low and there were posts which made me think and ponder. In such a short period, this place has become an essential part of my life. Here is a list of my favourite A list of Blogs -

Ruhi's Time and Again - It was through Ruhi's blog that I came in contact with this loony bunch. I saw Ruhi's post on the Dashboard once and clicked on it. I was wide-eyed and amazed with what I saw. It was my first - most amazing blog visit (although I saw many after that) and I was hooked. She is not regular nowadays but she still pops up at times.

Ish's Dead End - I still remember my first comment on Ish's blog : "You are one hell of a kid!!!". I was so amazed to see a kid maintaining such a fabulous blog. If you are in a bad mood then Ish's rants can really cheer you up. I remember how I was in splits when I read his "The Ruhi" post. And yes, I was the winner of the PFHOI contest on his blog. How can I forget that?

Nita's A wide angle view of India - This woman is amazing. She writes everyday and there is not a single day which goes without one of her posts being published. Everything is so diverse and well etched - The topics, the research, the writing style and the professional way in which her blog is maintained. She is a true blue journalist. And don't even look at her Blog hits. Your eyes will pop out.

Poonam's Visceral Observations - The Ms Best Blogger!!! She is also quite infrequent with her posts(like me), but writes very informative and hard hitting posts. Her posts are well sketched out and sometimes full of uncountable links(I am talking about her link posts) :) . She writes on two other blogs and juggles between her job and blogging with ease. A true inspiration.

Ashish's Thunder of the Dragon - He can drive you crazy with his loony posts and his love for Rock music. In most of his posts, I end up writing a comment which resembles a - :| but I must admit that his crazy ideas have inspired many posts on this blog. The Randomizer and the Nebula Mindspin were spin-offs from his blog. He calls me - Zero the Hero and he has an illusion(??) of being the Next Geeky Emperor of the World. Rock on My Lord!!

Reema's My Random Thoughts - The most dazzling debut in the past year. She climbed up the charts very fast with her sometimes sentimental, sometimes bold and sometimes journalistic posts. An intelligent blogger which I feel is stuck in the wrong city (??? :D ) where people are too nosy to be believed. I remember how all of us almost pulled her out of Blogspot's claws and landed her safely in Wordpress. :lol:

RamboDoc's A twist of word and Mind - The father of all "Don't take them at face value" posts. Believe me, you can't dissect humor better than him. You might be fooled in the beginning by the seriousness of his posts, but a few visits and you learn to take everything with a pinch of salt. A doctor by profession, RamboDoc has huge female fans following him his blog. Not to be missed at all.

Shefaly's La Vie Quotidienne - The owner of the most "profound" blog on Wordpress (according to RamboDoc), she is one of her kind. Her posts are thoughtful, deep and scholarly and sometimes have the Tongue in cheek quality which makes them immensely enjoyable.

Nitin's Nikhil's Mirror Cracked - The Funny guy on the block. He can make you laugh with his simple daily life experiences served with a comical twist. I remember how I rolled on the floor after reading many of his posts. He is a writer too and his first book is already in the market. To read more about the book, click here.

Arvind's An Entertainment Blog - The Entertainment Blog owner who is apparently a die hard cricket fan too. His blog was full of cricket centric posts once. :) His blog is a nice mix of personal mumblings and latest news with Calvin and Hobbes splashed in-between.

Kids zone - After being surprised by Ish's creative posts, I came across many kids who were maintaining some very interesting blogs. Come to think of it, I was not even aware of the meaning of a blog at their age. Be it Allirekha's beautiful poems, Bharat's touching short stories, Prarthana's examination woes, Perx's apprehensions about his new abode, Priya's bubbly and creative posts, all of them have something special to say and share.

The Balancers - These bloggers are married(well...most of them), they have a job(most of them) or are in colleges and they still blog. They could have easily shrugged and said that we don't have time for all this.They are the true Supermen/superwomen. Anand's Musings, Balu's Chupchap, Dinsan's Blog(hopefully he belongs to this group), Mehek's Mind Flirting with thoughts, Harshasrisri's blog, Joel's blog, Lallopallo's blog, Liju(recently married) Philip's blog, Manoj's Vagaries of my mind, RJ's Especiality, Suda's Life Love and Logic and Xylene's Crapbook are such blogs, to name a few.

More Girl Power - Lekhni, Sakhi, Nova, Pr3rna and Sulz have their own unique blogs. Lekhni and Sakhi are majorly into Short stories while Pr3rna's posts are inspired mostly by the current happenings. Nova's posts are vivacious and spicy while Sulz writes about her own life experiences in her own interesting style.

There are so many other bloggers I wish to acknowledge, but laziness is creeping over me. So please don't feel sad if your name was not mentioned above. It was due to the yawn dripped laziness I am swimming in right now. I also wanted to award each of the above person and I (almost)promised Shefaly, but the sheer volume of links I have created above sent shivers up my spine.

I will do that. Someday.... :P

Thought is a vital, living force, the most vital, subtle and irresistible force that exists in the universe. The thought-world is more real compare to this physical universe. Thoughts are living things. Mind assumes the form of anything it contemplates. When you think of an object, your mind shapes itself into the form of that object. When you change your thought, your mind also changes its shape. Many modifications continually arise in the mind. Your thoughts rapidly change. Every moment, mind is continually creating hundreds of these thought-forms and continually dispersing them again. It never holds on steadily to one thought-form for some time.

Thought is a dynamic force. Thought moves. Thought is infectious. Thought creates. You can work wonders with the power of thought. The strength of your body, the strength of your mind, your success in life and the pleasures you give to others y your company all depend on the nature and quality of your thoughts.

If you entertain healthy thoughts, you can keep good health. If you hold on to sickly thoughts in the mind, thoughts of diseased tissues, thoughts of weak-nerves, thoughts of improper functioning of organs, you can never expect good health, beauty and harmony. The body is the product of the mind. If you hold on vigorous thoughts in the mind, then the physical body also will be vigorous.

"As a man thinketh, so he is." "Man is created by thought; what a man thinks upon, that he becomes." Think you are strong; strong you become. Think you are weak and you become week. A man forms his own character, becoming that which he thinks. If you meditate on courage, you shall work courage into your character. Steady persevering thought sets up a definite habit of the mind and that habit manifests itself as a quality in the character.

You spin the thread of thought into your destiny. The mind has got a 'drawing power'. You are continually attracting towards you, from both the seen and the unseen sides of life forces, thoughts, influences and conditions most akin to those of your own thoughts and lives.

No matter how you roam over land or sea, you will unceasingly attract to yourself, knowingly or inadvertently, exactly and only what corresponds to your own dominant quality of thought.

Thought is very contagious. Though moves, It actually leaves the brain and hovers about. It enters the brains of others also. A sympathetic though in you raises a sympathetic thought in others with whom you come in contact. A thought of anger produces a similar vibration in those who surround an angry man. It leaves the brain of one man and enters the brains of others who live at a long distance and excites them. A cheerful thought produces cheerful thought in others. A thought of joy creates sympathetically a thought of joy in others.

A person whose mind is filled with jealousy, revenge and hatred, sends out discordant thoughts, which enter the minds of thousands and stir in them similar thoughts of hatred and discord.

Just as energy is wasted in idle talk and gossiping, so also energy is wasted in entertaining useless thought. Therefore, you should not waste even a single thought. Do not waste even an iota of energy in useless thinking. Conserve all mental energy. Utilize it for higher purposes and helpful service to humanity.

Reading Adventures ~ I found this blog through my membership at HistoricalFiction.org. I go here for some wonderful reviews on historical fiction. This is the book blog I've been reading the longest. And this blogger can read! Marg has cleared over 100 books already this year. I bow down before her!

Passages to the Past ~ This is a relatively new historical fiction blog, but Amy does something that I love - she includes a song with each of her reviews, providing a little bit of a soundtrack. What a brilliant way to further define the feeling of a book!

Fyrefly's Book Blog ~ This has got to be the most beautiful blog I visit. Not only is it just nice to look at, the variety of books reviewed is really nice. I'm bound to find something here I haven't seen elsewhere.

Bloody Hell, It's a Book Barrage ~ Doesn't the blog title say it all? I fell in love with this blog the first time I read the title. Chartoose has a great sense of humor and her reviews and other posts about reading and life are very entertaining.

Kathleen's Book Reviews ~ This blogger has a passion for books and I am really inspired by the way she fights against internet plagiarism. We seem to have similar tastes in books. It was nice to know that I'd probably love Aberrations before I even started reading it. :)

B&b ex libris ~ Bethany has a wonderful, warm book blog. She writes some great reviews and from time to time we're treated with pictures. I really enjoyed the read-a-thon. Her pictures were really portraits of the reader as a young woman. Bethany won my Mrs. Lieutenant contest and I'm looking forward to talking about the book with her when that time comes.

Books on the Brain ~ Lisa's blog is like a sandbox for readers. She regularly features interviews or guest posts from authors. I love her posts about what authors are reading. I also look forward to reading each installment of her series in celebration of book clubs. It's nice to know that there are some great reading groups out there.

Letters on Pages ~ What makes this blog unique is that Adam only reviews non-fiction books. If you need a dose of this world in your reading, check out his blog for some inspiration.

In the "Christian" category it's ranked 28th. Adrian Warnock is ranked 2nd. (He's #1 in "Christianity") Is he worth reading more than me? :)

Probably! Especially if want to read someone who is regular and consistent at blogging and  has content of significant and generous substance that will both make you think and edify you in your Christian walk. :)
