Anyway it is a quite simple yet very helpful and easy to use tool. First of all you have to create a login in StumbleUpon which you have to provide the subjects of your interests. After that you just have to keep clicking on the Stumble! button on your browser. For each click it will provide you a web site based on your interests and other user ratings on that particular site. The good part is you have the chance to vote for that particular site.

I found lot of good sites while there were few average sites too. I should say it is a good tool to try especially when you need to fine more sites or web pages on your subjects like.

• Scrapbook - I find this add-on very useful. It lets you save websites(or parts thereof) for offline browsing. These saved webpages can then be modified by the user with its user-friendly editor.

• StumbleUpon - StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more. A fun way to explore the web.

1. Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer
   Bu eklenti sayesinde ister bir tıklamayla isterseniz otomatik olarak ayarlayarak firefox'taki bookmark (yer imleri)larınızı bookmark synchronizer'ın server'ına yedekliyorsunuz. Böylece eğer bookmark'larınızı kaybederseniz geri getirebiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca başka bir bilgisayarda bookmarklarınızı kullanmak isterseniz tek yapmanız gereken eklentiyi oraya kurmak oluyor.    Pek yararlı bir site olan BugMeNot'ın eklentisi. Bilmeyenler için, eğer bir forum ya da site içeriğine ulaşmanız için sizden üyelik istiyorsa, gereksiz bir üye olma süreciyle uğraşmayıp hemen BugMeNot'tan o site için kayıtlı bir kullanıcı bilgisi ediniyor ve girip istediğiniz içeriğe ulaşıyorsunuz.
   İşte bu eklenti sayesinde işler daha da kolaylaşıyor. Kullanıcı adı ya da şifre kısmına sağ tıklayıp "Login with BugMeNot" diyorsunuz ve o kısımlar otomatik doluyor.

4. Better Gmail 2
   Bu eklenti normalde değiştirilemez olan Gmail'in arayüzünde değişiklikler yapmanızı sağlıyor ve otomatik html imzası eklemek gibi ek özellikler sunuyor.
5. Adblock Plus
   

   Benzerleri gibi Adblock Plus da internette gezinirken karşınıza çıkan reklamları engellemeniz için bir eklenti. Adblock Plus engelleme ayarları üzerinde size tam kontrol sağlıyor. Ancak hiç uğraşmayıp hazır ayarlardan birisini seçebilirsiniz. Eğer otomatik olarak engellenmemiş bir reklam bulursanız sağ tıklayıp Adblock'u seçiyorsunuz ve o reklama elveda diyorsunuz.

6. Sage-Too

   Adı Google Preview olsa da bu pek kullanışlı eklenti Yahoo Search ile de çalışıyor. Bir arama yaptığınızda çıkan sonuçların yanında sitenin küçük bir ön izlemesini görüyorsunuz. Böylece siteyi ziyaret etmeden neye benzediği hakkında az çok bilginiz oluyor.

8. CustomizeGoogle
   Google'ın arama sayfasında akla gelebilecek her türlü değişikliği yapabilmenize yarayan bu eklenti aynı zamanda arama sonuçları arasından zararlı siteleri çıkarabiliyor ve google arama kimliğinizi anonim yapıyor. Gmail ve Google News gibi diğer Google sitelerinde de değişiklik yapma özelliğine sahip.
9. FireFTP
   FTP sitelerinden dosya indirme işlemini bir eklenti olmadan firefox ile de yapabilirsiniz. Ancak bu eklenti sayesinde firefox içerisinde bir FTP Client programının getirebileceği tüm özelliklere sahip oluyorsunuz.
10. NoScript

    Bu eklentiyle Youtube ve diğer video sitelerindeki videoları bilgisayarınıza indirebiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca ses dosyaları ve normalde kaydedilemeyen grafikler için de çalışıyor.

    Firefox tablarına değişik renkler vererek benzer isimli sayfaları birbirinden ayırmanıza olanak tanıyan bu eklenti, isterseniz gezdiğiniz URL'nin rengini kaydedebiliyor. Böylece sayfaları renklerle hatırlayabiliyorsunuz.

13. WOT (Web of Trust)
    

    İnternette zararlı olabilecek siteleri diğerlerinden ayırmak zor. Bu eklenti sayesinde Google veya başka bir arama motorunda arama yaptığınızda çıkan sonuçların üstüne gelerek ziyaret edeceğiniz seçeneğin değişik alanlarda güvenilirliğine verilen notu görebiliyorsunuz. Fazla kafa yormak istemezseniz eklenti size sitenin durumunu "kırmızı" ya da "yeşil" olarak da gösteriyor. Ayrıca bir şekilde zararlı bir sayfaya girecek olursanız önce ekranda bir uyarı açılıyor. Buradan ya siteye girmek istediğinizi belirtiyor ya da zararlı içerikten korunmak için siteyi kapatıyorsunuz.
    Bir sitede gezinirken de isterseniz eklenti ikonuna tıklayıp o sitenin güvenilirlik değerlendirmesine göz atabiliyorsunuz.

14. Mini Map Sidebar
    Bir sitede gezinirken bir adres gördünüz ve haritada yerini bulmak istiyorsunuz. Bu eklenti sizde yoksa Google Maps, Yahoo Maps gibi harita servislerinden birinin sitesine girip bakmak zorundasınız. Ama eğer varsa, eklentinin kenar çubuğunu açıp adresi ya da yer ismini oraya yazıyorsunuz ve harita kenar çubuğunda çıkıyor. İstediğiniz harita servisini seçebiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca diğer sitelerde olmayan trafik bilgisi gibi ek özelliklere de kavuşuyorsunuz.

    Firefox'un en az kullanılan özelliklerinden biri olan kenar çubuğu'na bakışınız bu eklentiyle değişebilir. İndirme geçmişi, kullandığınız eklentiler ve özellikleri, gezmekte olduğunuz sayfa hakkında bilgiler gibi bilmek isteyebileceğiniz birçok ıvır zıvırı kenar çubuğunda bu eklenti sayesinde görebiliyorsunuz.

NoScript is a small program you download and add 'into' Firefox to enhance its functionality (these small programs are known variously as "add-ons", "plug-ins", and "extensions"-- different words for the same concept.)

NoScript gets mentioned in the Tech media a lot because it is a security tool that automatically "blocks" (prevents from running) certain web page 'elements' (scripts) -- Java, Flash, JavaScript, and XSS-- from running unless you click the Option button and select "Allow", or "Temporarily allow".

Which puts you in control, and goes a long ways toward preventing "drive-by downloads", and other malicious Internet attacks and activity from occurring should you happen to visit a Website which has been "poisoned" by a hacker.
(I don't mean to depress you, but the current state of the Internet is so insecure that this can be, literally, any Website.)

By default, NoScript is a powerful tool (to read the NoScript "About" page, click here) and for many people is the primary reason they have made the switch to Firefox.
(I'll let you in on a little secret; it is one way to measure a user's "savvy".. look for a Firefox icon.)

Tip of the day: Enhance your NoScript protection by turning on the IFRAME blocker feature.
IFRAMES are another dynamic Web element that cyber-criminals are now using as an "attack vector" (aka "method") with great success. Like the scripts mentioned above, IFrame attacks can happen invisibly and automatically. Oh, the joys of Web 2.0!

1) In Firefox, click on "Tools", then "Add-ons"
 
2) Scroll 'till you find NoScript, and click the "Options" button. (If you have not yet installed NoScript, click the "Get Add-ons" icon in the upper-left.)

3) Click on the Plugins tab. Place a check in the "Forbid <IFRAME>" checkbox.

That's it. You're done. Now when you visit a site that uses IFrames, you will have to approve them (aka "whitelist") before they'll appear.

[Note: the scripts and tools (Web 2.0 "features") mentioned in this article are NOT in themselves bad or dangerous, and it is thanks to them that the Web is such a rich and interactive environment.. but, in the wrong hands they can -- and are -- being used with criminal intent.]

The alternative is to download the LIP (Language Interface Pack), which is free and provides "a translated version of the most widely used areas of the user interface." This means it does leave some areas in the "Parent Language" so for example if you had English Vista with a French LIP..some bits would still show up in English.

It's awesome the idea of improve your browser to your daily need once browser and e-mails are where we spend most of our time in the day anyway.

I have to confess, at least once a day I spend a couple of minutes looking around for new and cool add-ons, and some that can help me bypass the hard and cruel company's proxy that blocks everything web has of fun (please, don't tell my boss), just kidding.

Anyway, what I want to post here is a small compilation of the top 5 most important add-ons for me, here they are, not necessarily in the importance rank.

1. Firebug: Essential for web developers or people who just like to play with page contents, layouts, etc. With it you can change layout, content, see CSS, etc. and check it live on the browser while you change it.

2. Developer Toolbar: Very handy toolbar also for developers and web-curious, you can enable/disable CSS, Javascript, Cookies, view some information about the page and much more.

3. MMD Wordpress Extension:This adds a small icon in the status bar that shows you live stats about your Wordpress blog.

4. Quick Translation (qtl): Useful extension for those, like me, that try and insist on speaking english even not speaking he's own language properly. It translates anything in several languages in one click and uses some different sources like babylon, wiki, google and others.

5. Cooliris: Very, very heavy add-on but extremely good-looking, fun and useless add-on, but I simply like it. It creates a small button on right of the search box that shows google pictures, youtube videos, amazon products, flickr pics and others in a sick 3D panel. As I sad, useless but nice.

Hope you guys like them, they are some little things that make may life easier and more fun.

Just remember, don't go crazy on the add-ons, specially on those like the Cooliris or your Firefox will take as long as the Microsoft Outlook to load.

Update 1: It appears someone on the Halo forum has dissected the post and given a lot of hints about what the trailer is. As stated above, this looks to be an expansion for the Halo 3 campaign, and the description of the video on XBox Dashboard reads "High action and deep mystery await players in this new Halo 3 campaign experience. Prepare to drop!"

Update 2: On a screenshot found in the trailer, a date of 01/06/09 is shown briefly. This possibly might be the release date of the new pack. While this is pure rumor, the screenshot can be found here.

Update 3: Another screenshot is confirming that this takes place in New Mombasa, a site that much of Halo 2 took place on while it was on Earth. The rumor around the campaign right now is that it will deal with the Prophet of Regret coming to Earth and the fight there. Just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt until something else is officially said.
