Δίπλα στους πρώην πολιτικούς και αξιωματούχους που φρουρούν γερνούν... και οι αστυνομικοί-σωματοφύλακές τους. Πριν από λίγες μέρες απεβίωσε σε ηλικία 82 χρόνων ο πρώην υπουργός Δημόσιας Τάξης Γ. Σκουλαρίκης, εμπνευστής της ενοποίησης των σωμάτων ασφαλείας, πριν από 25 χρόνια. Ευτυχώς οι σωματοφύλακες δεν κληρονομούνται και έτσι ο αστυνομικός του μακαρίτη πολιτικού... ψάχνει αντικείμενο μέχρι να βγει στη σύνταξη. Πάνω από 100 αστυνομικοί είναι προσκολλημένοι σε πρώην υπουργούς Δημόσιας Τάξης και πρώην αρχηγούς της ΕΛ.ΑΣ. παρ' ότι σε ελάχιστες περιπτώσεις υφίσταται πλέον λόγος.

Πρόκειται για μια ιδιάζουσα στρέβλωση του συστήματος, όπως άλλωστε και αυτή της φύλαξης πρώην πολιτικών γενικώς, που επειδή διετέλεσαν κάποτε βουλευτές κρατούν και ένστολους υπηρέτες με δημόσια δαπάνη. Οι περιπτώσεις αυτές πλησιάζουν τις 30. Επίσης, πέρα από κάθε λογική είναι η διάθεση τουλάχιστον 50 αστυνομικών για φρούρηση εκπροσώπων του δημοσιογραφικού και εκδοτικού χώρου.

Βασικός λόγος γι’ αυτήν την προκλητική σπατάλη αστυνομικών δυνάμεων είναι ο φόβος των διοικούντων να μην περιπέσουν στη «δυσμένεια» κυρίως εκπροσώπων της τηλεοπτικής εξουσίας. Αν συνεχίσουν οι υπουργοί, οι υφυπουργοί και οι αρχηγοί της αστυνομίας να αλλάζουν με την ταχύτητα των τελευταίων χρόνων, θα καταλήξει να απασχολούν ολόκληρο σώμα φύλαξης.

• Από τους πρώην υπουργούς Δημόσιας Τάξης, φρουρούνται σαν αστακοί ο Μιχ. ΧρυσοχοΐδηςΓ. Βουλγαράκης (20 άτομα), ο Β. Πολύδωρας (10) και ο Στ. Παπαθεμελής (9). (15-20 άτομα), ο

Υπάρχουν, όμως, και περιπτώσεις εκατοντάδων βετεράνων της πολιτικής πρώην υπουργών, υφυπουργών και βουλευτών που κάποτε διάβηκαν την πύλη της Κατεχάκη και μαζί με τις πλακέτες πήραν και τους αστυφύλακες.

• Σύμφωνα με τις σχετικές λίστες, από δύο φρουρούς διαθέτουν οι Νικ. Γκελεστάθης, Γ. Ρωμαίος, Θεόδ. Αναγνωστόπουλος, Σ. Βαλυράκης και Θαν. Τσούρας και έναν ο Ε. Μαλέσιος.
• Υπάρχουν και κάποιοι εν ενεργεία βουλευτές και τουλάχιστον καλύπτονται νομικά, όπως ο Γ. Φλωρίδης και ο Χρ. Μαρκογιαννάκης.
• Υπάρχουν, άλλοι 23 πρώην βουλευτές που δεν είχαν σχέση με το υπουργείο Δημόσιας Τάξης και φρουρούνται ως απλοί πολιτευτές.
• Από τους πρώην αρχηγούς και επιτελικούς αξιωματικούς φρουρούνται οι Φ. Νασιάκος (10), Στ. Σύρος (3), Αναστ. Δημοσχάκης (3), Γ. Αγγελάκος (1), Ι. Γεωργακόπουλος (1).

Αρμόδιοι παράγοντες επισημαίνουν ότι εκτός από ειδικές περιπτώσεις που υφίστανται αντικειμενικοί λόγοι προστασίας αορίστου χρόνου, για τους λοιπούς πρώην υπουργούς και αρχηγούς μπορεί να καθοριστεί ένα μεταβατικό διάστημα προστασίας το πολύ δύο χρόνων.

• Απολύτως σκανδαλιστική είναι και η κατάσταση σε ό,τι αφορά τη φύλαξη προσώπων του δημοσιογραφικού χώρου. Πάνω από 50 αστυνομικοί είναι απασχολημένοι στην προσωπική ασφάλεια εκδοτών και τηλεστάρ. Από έναν έως και εννέα αστυνομικούς δεσμεύουν τα συγκεκριμένα άτομα αναλόγως της «ισχύος» που διαθέτουν και όχι των κινδύνων που διατρέχουν, όπως λένε αρμόδιοι παράγοντες. Θα ξεκινήσω με το αρνητικό που τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει ενταθεί. Σε πολλά αστυνομικά τμήματα έχουν αρχίσει και κλείνουν τους δρόμους μπροστά από την κεντρική είσοδο. Βεβαία το καταλαβαίνω ότι δεν έχουν προσωπικό και τα αστυνομικά τμήματα έχουν γίνει στόχοι τον τελευταίο καιρό. Αλλά είναι χαζό κατά την γνώμη μου. Κλείνουν τον δρόμο αφήνοντας κενά στα οδοφράγματα που μια μοτοσικλέτα περνά άνετα. Αν θυμάμαι καλά οι τελευταίες επιθέσεις έγινα με μηχανάκι. Τελικά μάλλον η σκέψη κάποιον ανώτατον στελεχών είναι πολύ ρηχή και μάλλον θα πρέπει να βάλουμε ξένο manager και στην αστυνομία. Στον ΟΤΕ γιατί το κάναμε;;;;;;

Και το θετικό. Εδώ και χρόνια παρατηρώ τους αστυνομικούς με της μοτοσικλέτες που παλεύουν μέσα στην κίνηση και προσπαθούν να κατευθύνουν σωστά εμάς που πάμε σαν ζώα. Έχω εντυπωσιαστεί από αστυνομικούς που έσπρωχναν αυτοκίνητο μου είχε πάθει βλάβη στην αριστερή λωρίδα και εμπόδιζε. Έχω δει αστυνομικό να βοήθα οδηγό να αλλάξει λάστιχο στο αυτοκίνητο. Νιώθω πολύ ευχαριστημένος και μου δίνουν ελπίδα τέτοιοι αστυνομικοί. Θα ήθελα να δώσω ένα μεγάλο Μπράβο και εύχομαι να παραδειγματιστούν όλοι.

Εύχομαι κάποια στιγμή να σταματήσουμε τα σπαστικά και ανώριμα σαν χώρα.

Δυστυχώς το επίπεδο των "ανθρώπων" που έχουν βάλει να μας "φυλάνε" είναι τραγικό. Μου είναι αδιανόητο άτομο που κάνει τέτοιες μαλακίες να μου πουλάει υφάκι και να μου το παίζει κάποιος επειδή του δώσαν μια στολή...

I can happily say that I had a very pleasant experience this time from one of  our local airlines. Indeed Aegean offered (aside from being punctual, as usual) simply the best service I/ve ever experienced in an Airline.

The crew was very customer oriented (simply awesome) and the service was excellent including great food (no dry sandwiches or small chocolate bars...a complete meal in economy class), great (new) plane (including takeoff and landing). This company's gonna go far, very far.

AGain, great job Aegean Airlines, and looking forward to flying with you again.

If I/m writing a post this time of the morning (1:30 am) I'm either happy, or pissed off.

Well I"m pissed off.

I had to transfer in LINATE Airport and catch the ALITALIA flight A 730 to Athens which was due to leave (and did leave) at about 8:40 pm.

It was raining like hell in MILANO where LINATE airport is.

They shuttled us from the terminal (terminal A52) to the Airplane. AGain, it was raining like hell.

The shuttle drove to the back of the plane, where there was a narrow staircase eminating from the tail of the plane and leading into the plane. The shuttle opened the doors and we were expected to walk under the tail of the plane, into these narrow stairs leading to the rear part of the plane.

Of course alot of people descended from the shuttle, and since the stair to the plane was extremely narrow (with NO ONE FROM LINATE OR ALITALIA TO HELP..IT WAS RAINING AFTERALL) most people stood in the rain waiting for one and the other to mount the plane.

At some time after the airport/airline realized their mistake they opened the front hatch to the plane and a particular ground person instructed some of the passengers to go to the front of the plane.

 Note that ALITALIA/LINATE did not instruct the shuttle to drive the remaining passengers there...oh no...they asked the passengers to run like madin the rain to board the front of the plane via an uncovered staircase.

 Some of them did, run  in the rain, and eventually mounted the plane from the front staircase that was not, and I repeat, was not covered in any way. There were a little further up a couple of parked covered staircases but LINATE/ALITALIA decided that it was better to leave them there than to bring them over to help their passengers. And again, both the ground personel and the crew watched on as we got soaked.

When we finally boarded (and there's nothing worst than sitting in a flight wet from the rain..good way to end up with a cold if not pneumonia etc..) I had a nice little chat with one of the flight attendants but he acted indifferently as if nothing happened. He was well and dry with his jelled hair and really couldn't give a fuck...its not his ass after all....

FOUL ON YOU ALITALIA AND FOUL ON YOU LINATE MILANO!!!

Sorta reminds me of the way McLaren managed British football under his umbrella....

these 5 points will make me vote for you:

1. A working social infrastructure with amongst other things adequate to excellent public service including an efficient (in the economic and engineering sense) public sector, excellent public schools, excellent medicaire system (remember Amalia?),public libraries,parks,guarderies for the kids when both parents are working, and strong, reliable and effective public and national security.

2. A responsible national, local and municipal government geared towards serving public and national interests;this goes hand in hand with a responsive mechanism to the electorate need and the total and unequivocal elimination of "meson" in public services, something that we've inherited from the "ottoman" days. It really pisses me off to go to a "dimos" and see 5 employees around a photocopier (which by the way are paid with taxes) smoking their cigarettes, while one of them take the photocopy. Do you know that being 44 years old, I already know what pension I'll be getting from Canada? Well I don't know if I'll be getting any pension from Greece (and believe me , I like most middle class citizens, pay more than enough taxes!!!)

3. A vision of where this country will be in the next 50 years, and this vision mapped down towards yearly objectives that follow the "smart" principle. 

4.A responsible attitude towards "green" issues (Parnitha?, Pendeli?, Pilion?...)

5. A strong economy geared towards bringing the country to the 21st century and eliminating antiquated practices and institutions. Is this the country where a doctor makes less than a "meremetiatzi???". Is this the country where computer engineers are unemployed while there is more than enough demand for plummers? Sure its a supply and demand issue, so please ministers get your supply and demand curves straight and set the economy straight!

And as a final note, please include in your cabinet ministers that know something 'bout leadership and organizations since I'm tired of ministers that try to implement things only to be bottled up in the bureaucracy of a mizzly civil servant.

And I'm tired of hearing you  tell me 'bout the problems of this country. What I vote for when I put you in government is for you to identify these problems, find a workable solution and implement it with no fiscal bearing on my pocketbook. For example (I won't talk 'bout bonds...I have a more practical problem) you allowed ELENIT into this country in the 80's. Now ELENIT has to go and you inform me that we need a special "synergio" to get rid of this.

FINE: Give me a number to call, send over this "synergio" asap, since some of the areas where ELENIT exists are close to children, remove it and take the cost since you allowed it in in the first place, and since you made tons of cash from it in indirect and direct taxes considering that the majority of ELENIT was used by the construction industry that you sponsor, and which you, oh Greek Government, benefit for (I know, I bought a house here and have experience with both the black part of the payment, as well as the official part of the payment towards the house).

I think this covers it for now, if I think of anything else I'll let you know.

PS: Oh, and please do something 'bout those darn Athens Taxi drivers; they're really pissing me off and they're bad for tourism, for business in general, and they're giving my city (Athens) a bad name!
