Αχμαντ Ελντιν

Το Ιερό Κοράνι παρουσιάζει την απόλυτη μοναδικότητα του Θεού ως εξής:

Στο όνομα του Αλλάχ του Παντελεήμονα, του Πολυεύσπλαχνου

1.     Λέγε (Μουχάμμεντ!): Αυτός είν' ο Αλλάχ ο ένας και Μοναδικός,

2.  Αλλάχ, ο Αιώνιος, ο Απόλυτος (απ' τον οποίον όλα τα πλάσματα έχουν ανάγκη).

3.  Ποτέ δεν γέννησε, και ποτέ δεν γεννήθηκε,

4.  Και δεν υπάρχει κανείς όμοιος Του.

(Κοράνι 112: 1-4) -  Κλικ εδω να ακουσετε το κεφαλαιο 

 Το μήνυμα είναι ξεκάθαρο. Ο Θεός είναι ένας και μοναδικός, δεν είναι τριαδικός η δωδεκάθεος,  κανείς δεν του μοιάζει και κανείς δεν είναι ίσος μαζί Του  δεν γέννησε κανέναν υιό και καμία κόρη και κανένα παιδί και ούτε προήλθε από γέννα καμιάς μάνας.

Αυτή είναι περιγραφή για τον Δημιουργό τον παντοδύναμο. Ένα Δημιουργό δίχως ατέλειες και ανάγκες, ένα Δημιουργό δίχως ανθρωπομορφισμούς, έναν Δημιουργό άξιο να λατρευτεί και άξιο να Τον υπακούσεις. 

Πέρα από κάθε αμφιβολία το κοράνιο κεφάλαιο « ιχλας» ( 112: 1-4) παρουσιάζει μια αγνή μορφή μονοθεϊσμού.

Ο Προφήτης Μουχαμαντ, είπε σχετικά για αυτό το κεφάλαιο ότι « αποτελεί το ένα τρίτο ολοκλήρου του Κορανίου»

Το κεφάλαιο αυτό αποτελεί την βάση της πίστης στο Ισλάμ και είναι η καλύτερη απάντηση σε αυτούς που αναρωτιούνται πως και ποιος είναι ο Θεός σύμφωνα με το Ισλάμ.

Here I continue to expose the ignorant missionary.

He wrote:

The Quran says that there is no other judge besides Allah and that he doesn’t allow anyone to share in his decision-making or rule:

Shall I seek other than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed unto you (this) Scripture, fully explained? Those unto whom We gave the Scripture (aforetime) know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be not thou (O Muhammad) of the waverers. S. 6:114

Say: "Allah knows best how long they stayed. With Him is (the knowledge of) the unseen of the heavens and the earth. How clearly He sees, and hears (everything)! They have no Wali (Helper, Disposer of affairs, Protector, etc.) other than Him, and He makes NONE to share in His Decision and His Rule." S. 18:26 Hilali-Khan

But elsewhere in the Quran Muhammad is said to share in Allah’s decisions and judgments:

O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the messenger and those of you who are in authority; and if ye have a dispute concerning any matter, refer it to Allah and the messenger if ye are (in truth) believers in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more seemly in the end. S. 4:59

We sent no messenger save that he should be obeyed by Allah's leave. And if, when they had wronged themselves, they had but come unto thee and asked forgiveness of Allah, and asked forgiveness of the messenger, they would have found Allah Forgiving, Merciful. But nay, by thy Lord, they will not believe (in truth) until they make thee judge of what is in dispute between them and find within themselves no dislike of that which thou decidest, and submit with full submission. S. 4:64-65 Pickthall

And it becometh not a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His messenger have decided an affair (for them), that they should (after that) claim any say in their affair; and whoso is rebellious to Allah and His messenger, he verily goeth astray in error manifest. S. 33:36

Amazingly, the above citation says that Muhammad also shares Allah’s ability to forgive sinners!

In light of the above what exactly is a person to believe? Is Allah the only judge and does he refuse to share his decision and rule with anyone? Or does Muhammad also judge and make decisions for his community?

My response:

Shamoun is not able to realize that the source of Judgement is Allah alone. Prophet Muhammad judges from the legislations of Allah. Therefore, Allah is the only judge. Let us expose Shamoun from his own quotations from the noble Quran.

[004:059] O ye who believe! Obey God, and obey the Apostle, and those charged with authority among you. If ye differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to God and His Apostle, if ye do believe in God and the Last Day: That is best, and most suitable for final determination.

To refer to God means to refer to his Holy Book the Quran and to refer to the Apostole means to the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad. The source of Islam is the Quran and the Sunnah.  Both of them come from Allah. Therefore again the source of Judgment is Allah alone.

The other verses that Shamoun posts:

[004:064]  We sent not an apostle, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of God. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked God's forgiveness, and the Apostle had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found God indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.

[004:065]  But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction.

Is so clear that Allah send an apostle to be obeyed, because simply if you obey the messenger is like you obey God. The messenger teaches only what God tells him. Also the verse speak about the Gods forgiveness and the apostle ASK forgiveness from God.

Shamou also post the verse:

It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by God and His Apostle to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys God and His Apostle, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path[033:036]

God is again  the ultimate source of decision. The messenger obeys God, and the believers if they obey the messenger are as if they obey God. Let us read some verses that clearly states that the Prophet Muhammad believe and obey God.

[048:029]  Muhammad is the apostle of God; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from God and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration. This is their similitude in the Taurat; and their similitude in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade, then makes it strong; it then becomes thick, and it stands on its own stem, (filling) the sowers with wonder and delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at them. God has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness, and a great Reward.

This verse totally silence Shamoun

[007:158]  day: "O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Apostle of God, to Whom belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He: it is He That giveth both life and death. So believe in God and His Apostle, the Unlettered Prophet, who believeth in God and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided."

The Apostle believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in God, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys." 002:285

The Glorious Quran speaks from itself. God is the Judgment alone. Prophet Muhammad obeys God and he is His Prophet and messenger. Therefore, we must obey the Prophet Thus if you believe the Prophet is as you believe God.

In that response, I will expose Shamouns stupidity and his lack of understanding.

The Quran is confused on whether Allah acts by himself, without any help from his creatures. In certain places Allah is said to function all by himself whereas other texts speak of Allah acting with the aid or mediation of his creatures.

Here are some examples of what we mean.

Is Allah Alone a witness against mankind?

Yes:

The day when God shall gather the Messengers, and say, 'What answer were you given?' They shall say, 'We have no knowledge; Thou art the Knower of the things unseen. S. 5:109

And when God said, 'O Jesus son of Mary, didst thou say unto men, "Take me and my mother as gods, apart from God"?' He said, 'To Thee be glory! It is not mine to say what I have no right to. If I indeed said it, Thou knowest it, knowing what is within my soul, and I know not what is within Thy soul; Thou knowest the things unseen I only said to them what Thou didst command me: "Serve God, my Lord and your Lord." And I was a witness over them, while I remained among them; but when Thou didst take me to Thyself, Thou wast Thyself the watcher over them; Thou Thyself art witness of everything. S. 5:116-117

Notice that Jesus and the rest of the messengers, which would include Muhammad, claim ignorance regarding the response of the people to their message and to the actions of their communities after they had left the scene.

No:

Thus We appointed you a midmost nation that you might be witnesses to the people, and that the Messenger might be a witness to you; and We did not appoint the direction thou wast facing, except that We might know who followed the Messenger from him who turned on his heels -- though it were a grave thing save for those whom God has guided; but God would never leave your faith to waste - truly, God is All-gentle with the people, All-compassionate. S. 2:143

Here is how the Muslim expositors interpreted this text:

Thus, in the same way that We guided you to it, We appointed you, O community of Muhammad (s), a midmost community, excellent and upright, that you might be witnesses to the people, on the Day of Resurrection, that their messengers delivered [the Message] to them; and that the Messenger might be a witness to you, that he delivered [the Message] to you, … (Tafsir al-Jalalayn; source)

Muhammad and his community will be witnesses, which requires that they have knowledge of what the nations have done; otherwise how can they act as witnesses for or against the people?

This isn’t the only text which speaks of Muhammad being a witness over people:

How then shall it be, when We bring forward from every nation a witness, and bring thee to witness against those? S. 4:41

Muhammad isn’t the only messenger who will be a witness on the day of resurrection:

There is not one of the People of the Book but will assuredly believe in him (Jesus) before his death, and on the Resurrection Day he will be a witness against them. S. 4:159

Recall in the previous section the text where Jesus was asked about what people taught in his name and how he pleaded ignorance. Yet here it says that he will be a witness against both Jews and Christians.

My response:

See now how the only confused person here is Shamoun.

Shamoun posted the verse 5:109 and 5:116-117 by saying that these verses speak that Allah alone is a witness against mankind. Then he post the verses 2:143, 4:41, and 4:159 and claims that these verses speak that Allah is not alone a witness against mankind but along with others, therefore he dream about a contradiction.

The funniest thing is that Shamoun refutes his own self, below we will find out how. The verses 5:116-117 speak about how Allah will ask Jesus if he ever claimed divinity. Jesus on the other side will say that he was a witness, over them implying that they never said such a thing against him when he was among them. Therefore, Jesus was a witness over his message that he proclaimed. In the same time, he did not know what people after him invented about him (his divinity). So in the Day of Judgment Jesus will be a witness over his message not about the deeds of his people. This is very clear from the verse 5:116-117 and I don’t know the reason why Shamoun missed that point. We read:

005:116]  And behold! God will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.

[005:117]  "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship God, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

Concerning Soura 5:109 we read:

[005:109]  One day will God gather the apostles together, and ask: "What was the response ye received (from men to your teaching)?" They will say: "We have no knowledge: it is Thou Who knowest in full all that is hidden."

This question of God imply about what was the reaction of the people to the message of the Prophets, if they believed or not or innovated things like the people of Jesus. And the Apostoles normally responed is that they do not know. They only know about the message that they proclaim and they are witness for it as Jesus said.

Shamoun then post 2:143 as a contradictory verse to the above verses. We read:

[002:143]  Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Apostle a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Apostle from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by God. And never would God Make your faith of no effect. For God is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful.

He is a witness of his message, not the witness of the innovated things of his people. Moreover, the Muslim expositors refute Shamoun but he didn’t noticed when he quoted him:

Thus, in the same way that We guided you to it, We appointed you, O community of Muhammad (s), a midmost community, excellent and upright, that you might be witnesses to the people, on the Day of Resurrection, that their messengers delivered [the Message] to them; and that the Messenger might be a witness to you, that he delivered [the Message] to you, … (Tafsir al-Jalalayn; source)

Therefore cannot be much clear that the apostles will be witnesses ONLY for their messages and NOT for the deeds of their people. This also apply to the verse 4:41 and 4:159

Besisde that Prophet Muhammad make it more clearly in his saying:

Book 040, Hadith Number 6847.(Sahih Muslim)

------------------------------Chapter : Pertaining to the destruction of the world and assembling on the day of Resurrection.This hadith has been narrated through other chains of transmitters on the authority of Ibn Abbas, (and) the words are: While Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) stood up to deliver a sermon, he said: O people, Allah would make you assemble barefooted, naked and uncircumcised (and then recited the words of the Qur'an): "As We created you for the first time, We shall repeat it. (It is) a promise (binding) upon us. Lo! We are to perform it, and the first person who would be clothed on the Day of Resurrection would be (Hadrat) Ibrahim (peace be upon him)" and, behold! some persons of my Ummah would be brought and taken to the left and I would say: My Lord, they are my companions, and it would be said: You do not know what they did after you, and I would say just as the pious servant (Hadrat 'Isa) said:,I was a witness regarding them as I remained among them and Thou art a witness over everything, so if Thou chastisest them, they are Thy servants and if Thou forgivest them, Thou art Mighty, Wise" (v. 117-118). And it would be said to him: They constantly turned to their heels since you left them. This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Waki' and Mu'adh (and the words are): "What new things they fabricated."

The above saying actually silences Shamoun ignorance.

He wrote:

Is Allah the only and sufficient Protector or Guardian?

Yes:

God knows well your enemies; God suffices as a protector (waliyyan), God suffices as a helper (naseeran). S. 4:45

As for the believers, who do deeds of righteousness, He will pay them in full their wages, and He will give them more, of His bounty; and as for them who disdain, and wax proud, them He will chastise with a painful chastisement, and they shall not find for them, apart from God, a friend (waliyyan) or helper (naseeran). S. 4:123

O Messenger, deliver that which has been sent down to thee from thy Lord; for if thou dost not, thou wilt not have delivered His Message. God will protect thee from men. God guides not the people of the unbelievers. S. 5:67

Say: Who is he who can preserve you from Allah if He intendeth harm for you, or intendeth mercy for you. They will not find that they have any friend (waliyyan) or helper (naseeran) other than Allah. S. 33:17 Pickthall

Both for the believers and the unbelievers Allah suffices as a helper and protecting friend, since there is no one else.

No:

How is it with you, that you do not fight in the way of God, and for the men, women, and children who, being abased, say, 'Our Lord, bring us forth from this city whose people are evildoers, and appoint to us a protector (waliyyan) from Thee, and appoint to us from Thee a helper (naseeran)'? S. 4:75

It seems that Allah didn’t suffice as a helper or protector since these people are crying out that Allah send them some other persons to help and protect them!

O believers, whosoever of you turns from his religion, God will assuredly bring a people He loves, and who love Him, humble towards the believers, disdainful towards the unbelievers, men who struggle in the path of God, not fearing the reproach of any reproacher. That is God's bounty; He gives it unto whom He will; and God is All-embracing, All-knowing. Your friend (waliyukumu) is only God, and His Messenger, and the believers who perform the prayer and pay the alms, and bow them down. Whoso makes God his friend, and His Messenger, and the believers -- the party of God, they are the victors. S. 5:54-56

If ye twain turn unto Allah repentant, (ye have cause to do so) for your hearts desired (the ban); and if ye aid one another against him (Muhammad) then lo! Allah, even He, is his Protecting Friend, and Gabriel and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore the angels are his helpers. S. 66:4 Pickthall

In the previous section we were told that Allah is Muhammad’s protector. Yet in this last passage we find several persons protecting Muhammad implying that Allah’s protection wasn’t sufficient!

My response:

In the verse 4:75 Shamoun forget to notice that the protector that mention this verse is coming from Allah. Therefore Allah is the source of Protection. We read:

And why should ye not fight in the cause of God and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!" [004:075]

In the verse 5:54-56 clearly states that the only friend is God and the messenger and the believers, simply because if you rely on the protection of the Prophet is like you ve been protected by God because God protects the Messenger and the believers. Again, the source of protection is God. We read:

[005:054]  O ye who believe! if any from among you turn back from his Faith, soon will God produce a people whom He will love as they will love Him,- lowly with the believers, mighty against the rejecters, fighting in the way of God, and never afraid of the reproaches of such as find fault. That is the grace of God, which He will bestow on whom He pleaseth. And God encompasseth all, and He knoweth all things.

[005:055]  Your (real) friends are (no less than) God, His Apostle, and the (fellowship of) believers,- those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in worship).

[005:056]  As to those who turn (for friendship) to God, His Apostle, and the (fellowship of) believers,- it is the fellowship of God that must certainly triumph

The same apply to the verse 66:4

He wrote:

Is Grace or Bounty in the hands of Allah only?

Yes:

That the People of the Book may know that they have no power whatever over the Grace of God, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand, to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For God is the Lord of Grace abounding. S. 57:29 Y. Ali

No:

O were they well-pleased with what God and His Messenger have brought them, saying, 'Enough for us is God; God will bring us of His bounty, and His Messenger; to God we humbly turn.' S. 9:59

They swear by Allah that they did not speak, and certainly they did speak, the word of unbelief, and disbelieved after their Islam, and they had determined upon what they have not been able to effect, and they did not find fault except because Allah and His Apostle enriched them out of His grace; therefore if they repent, it will be good for them; and if they turn back, Allah will chastise them with a painful chastisement in this world and the hereafter, and they shall not have in the land any guardian or a helper. S. 9:74 Shakir

In the above passages Muhammad is made a conduit of blessing and riches alongside Allah, making him a coequal bestower of divine grace and bounties!

My response:

Again the source of Bounty and Grace is from Allah. God gave to Prophet Muhammad Grace and Bounty and with his turn he gives it to the believers by his message of Islam . Therefore God is the one that bestows bounty and grace. Soura 9:74 says:

They swear by God that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which God and His Apostle had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), God will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them. [009:074]

He wrote:

Is Allah alone the Forgiver of Sins?

Yes:

upon those rest prayers (salawatun) and mercy from their Lord, and those -- they are the truly guided. S. 2:157

who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God, and pray forgiveness for their sins -- and who shall forgive sins but God? -- and do not persevere in the things they did and that wittingly. S. 3:135

Say: 'What think you? If God's chastisement comes upon you, or the Hour comes upon you, will you call upon any other than God if you speak truly?' S. 6:40

Allah prays for and forgives those who turn to him, showing that believers need no one else since he is sufficient for them. That is why they are to call on him alone.

No:

We sent not ever any Messenger, but that he should he obeyed, by the leave of God. If; when they wronged themselves, they had come to thee, and prayed forgiveness of God, and the Messenger had prayed forgiveness for them, they would have found God turns, All-compassionate. S. 4:64

It was by some mercy of God that thou wast gentle to them; hadst thou been harsh and hard of heart, they would have scattered from about thee. So pardon them, and pray forgiveness for them, and take counsel with them in the affair; and when thou art resolved, put thy trust in God; surely God loves those who put their trust. S. 3:159

Take of their wealth a freewill offering, to purify them and to cleanse them thereby, and pray for them; thy prayers are a comfort for them; God is All-hearing, All-knowing. S. 9:103

My response:

Subhana Allah. Either Sam Shamoun is blind or he pretends to be. For his own quotations, answer himself. First, we must realize that the Arabic word “salawatun” does not mean “pray” like people pray to Allah. Below is the meaning of  the word “salawatun” that God make:

 “The Meaning of Salah

Allah's Salah means that He praises His servant before the angels, as Al-Bukhari recorded from Abu Al-`Aliyah. This was recorded by Abu Ja`far Ar-Razi from Ar-Rabi` bin Anas from Anas. Others said: "Allah's Salah means mercy.'' It may be said that there is no contradiction between these two views. And Allah knows best. Salah from the angels means their supplication and seeking forgiveness for people, as Allah says:

Those who bear the Throne and those around it glorify the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe (saying): "Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire! Our Lord! And make them enter the `Adn Garden which you have promised them -- and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their offspring! Verily, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. And save them from the sins.'') (40:7-9) t

 (that He may bring you out from darkness into light. ) means, by means of His mercy towards you, His praise of you and the supplication of His angels for you, He brings you forth from the darkness of ignorance and misguidance into the light of guidance and certain faith.”

Having said that let, us see the verses that Shamoun posted and claims that are contradictory.

Verse 4:64 clearly state that prophet Muhammad prayed to God to forgive the sins, the verse never say that Prophet forgive sins. We read :

[004:064]  We sent not an apostle, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of God. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked God's forgiveness, and the Apostle had asked forgiveness for them, they

would have found God indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.

Soura 3:159 states that prophet Muhammad must pass their faults and seek the forgiveness from God for them. Again, he did not forgive them by his own.

[003:159]  It is part of the Mercy of God that thou dost deal gently with them Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (Their faults), and ask for (God's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast Taken a decision put thy trust in God. For God loves those who put their trust (in Him). (Yusuf Ali)

It amazes me that Shamoun expose himself through the Noble Quran.

Sam Shamoun summarize his “Quranic contradiction” by saing:

To summarize the contradictions:

• Q. 9:29 along with certain Islamic narrations teach that Muslims are to fight all the unbelievers until they pay the Jizya and feel subdued. This presupposes that Islam allows even pagans to live under Muslim rule without having to convert to the Islamic faith.
• Q. 9:1-6, 28, 30-33 all say that Muslims are to kill those who associate other beings with God, including Jews and Christians, until they repent and become Muslims. The hadith literature provides attestation that this is precisely what Muhammad commanded, specifically, that he (and subsequently his followers) was to fight all the people until they became Muslims. This naturally assumes that Jews and Christians, not just the pagans, must convert to the Islamic faith or die.

Simple answer to the Contradiction – maker Shamoun:

Soura 9:29 deals first with the unbelievers (Pagans, Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc)

If they pay the jizya(tax) the can remain to their religion if not they must be fought. And of course under circumstances in order to defend Islam and not going out killing and fighting innocent unbelievers. I am asking now. So what? Each and every country pay taxes. A Muslim in a non-Muslim country pay taxes if he is not, then the government will fight him. So why the non-Muslim no to pay tax to Muslim countries? Actually the Zakah ( charity) that a Muslim pay is more than the jizya that a non Muslim pay.

Shamoun afraids to mention that Soura 9:1-6 deals with Pagans Meccans that persecuted and fought  Prophet Muhammad and his followers. Read to verify:

009:001]  A (declaration) of immunity from God and His Apostle, to those of the Pagans with whom ye have contracted mutual alliances:-

[009:002]  Go ye, then, for four months, backwards and forwards, (as ye will), throughout the land, but know ye that ye cannot frustrate God (by your falsehood) but that God will cover with shame those who reject Him.

[009:003]  And an announcement from God and His Apostle, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,- that God and His Apostle dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate God. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith.

[009:004]  (But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term: for God loveth the righteous.

[009:005]  But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[009:006]  If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of God; and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge.

So it is obvious that the Quranic verses talking about these specific Pagans and this specific time of the Prophet Muhammad. Shamoun try to generalize this by saying that this is the attitude of a common Muslim believer, but he fails.

Shamoun claimed that Soura 9:28 says to kill those who accociate others with God. Read and find out how he lied again. Here is the verse:

009:028]  O ye who believe! Truly the Pagans are unclean; so let them not, after this year of theirs, approach the Sacred Mosque. And if ye fear poverty, soon will God enrich you, if He wills, out of His bounty, for God is All-knowing, All-wise.

Here also, we read about the specific time and people that these verse refer.  

Shamoun also claims that Soura 9:30-33 promotes killing to those who accociate others with God. Read again the verse and check for your own  how he lied.

 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

[009:031]  They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of God, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One God: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).

[009:032]  Fain would they extinguish God's light with their mouths, but God will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

[009:033]  It is He Who hath sent His Apostle with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).

Where is the killing? The verses speak about the false idea to ascribe partners with Allah not to kill them.

Last Shamoun posted a hadeeth which says:

It is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah. (Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0030)

Then Shamoun says :

“The hadith literature provides attestation that this is precisely what Muhammad commanded, specifically, that he (and subsequently his followers) was to fight all the people until they became Muslims”

This saying is not for going out and killing innocent unbelievers. Prophet Muhammad said that for the protection of Islam, And referred to the people that want to prevent Islam exactly like the Pagans in Mecca did or to put obstacles in the way of Islam. In addition, the word “fighting” does not mean necessarily to kill or to harm but to struggle against false ideologies and religions either by writing refutations against Christian missionaries like Sam Shamoun or speaking against them.

Quran states:

[002:190]  Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors.

[005:087]  O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which God hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for God loveth not those given to excess.

[060:008]  God forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loveth those who are just.

From Soura 60:8 we clearly understand that Muslims must not fight people (unbelievers) that do not harm Muslims concerning faith or drive the Muslims out of their homes. However, if the unbelievers fight the Muslims about their faith and drive them out of their homes then they have the right to fight them. In other words Muslim fights only for defensive reasons.

Quran also stands for freedom of religion:

[002:256]  Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in God hath grasped the most trustworthy hand- hold, that never breaks. And God heareth and knoweth all things.

So as you see, Shamoun exposed by the Holy Quran. The verses that calls contradictory are in a perfect harmony each other if you read the context. Actually this is what Shamoun himself believes. He say:

“Although this may solve the contradiction within the Quran it doesn’t help resolve the problems raised by the hadith literature.”

Sam Shamoun is just ignorant about the hadiths, that’s all.

The Quran contradiction – maker Sam Shamoun continues to expose his ignorance on the Glorious Quran and the saying of the Prophet Muhammad(p). In his article he try to prove that Quran contains Contradiction on the issue “ Messengers sent only to their people or to all people?” The Holy Quran and the saying of Prophet Muhammad perfectly agree on the fact that all the previous Prophets were sent only to their people, but prophet Muhammad was sent to the mankind. Let us analyze his claims:

He wrote:

The Quran explicitly says that Allah never sent any messenger except to his own people speaking in their own language:

And We have sent NO Messenger save with the tongue of his people, that he might make all clear to them; then God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. S. 14:4

Noted exegete Ibn Kathir agrees that this is the meaning of the verse but tries to make an exception in the case of Muhammad:

Every Prophet was sent with the Language of His People; Guidance or Misguidance follows the Explanation

Allah is Kind and Compassionate with His creation, sending Messengers to them from among them and speaking their language, so that they are able to understand the Message that the Messengers were sent with. Allah said next…

<Then Allah misleads whom He wills and guides whom He wills.> after the proof and evidence have been established for the people, Allah misguides whom He wills from the path of guidance and guides whom He wills to the truth…

<And He is the All-Mighty,> whatever He wills occurs and whatever He does not will never occurs…

<the All-Wise.> in His decisions, misleading those who deserve to be misled and guiding those who deserve guidance. This is from Allah's wisdom with His creation, every Prophet He sent to a people spoke their language and everyone of these Prophets WERE ONLY SENT TO THEIR PEOPLE. Muhammad bin `Abdullah, Allah's Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent to all people. It is recorded in the Two Sahihs that Jabir said that the Messenger of Allah said…

<<I have been given five things which were not given to anyone else before me. Allah made me victorious by awe, (by His frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for worship and a purifier. The war booty has been made lawful for me and it was not lawful for anyone else before me. I have been given the right of Intercession (on the Day of Resurrection). Every Prophet used to be sent to his nation only, but I have been sent to all mankind.>> Allah said…

My response:

Sam Shamoun tries to say that Ibn Kathir make an exception to the case of Prophet Muhammad being sent to the whole humanity. Notice how the explanation of the verse exposed totally Sam Shamoun and then he tries to accuse Ibn Kathir of giving a false explanation by using the word “he tries”. Indeed very funny. 

He wrote:

 The problem with the claim of the hadith that Muhammad was sent to all mankind is that Q. 14:4 makes no such exception. The verse is formulated in such a way as to include every single messenger. We, therefore, have a contradiction regarding the extent of Muhammad’s mission, i.e. was he sent only to his people speaking in their own language or was he sent as a guide for everyone?

My response:

The contradiction actually is in the head of Shamoun. Let us read the verse again that Shamoun claims that makes no exception about Prophet Muhammad.

[014:004]We sent not an apostle except (to teach) in the language of his (own) people, in order to make (things) clear to them. Now God leaves straying those whom He pleases and guides whom He pleases: and He is Exalted in power, full of Wisdom. (Yusuf Ali)

Does this verse mention anywhere that Muhammad sent ONLY to his people? Of course, he sent to his people AND to the whole humanity. Indeed Prophet Muhammad sent speaking Arabic to his Arab people but his message is for the whole humanity. Is that so difficult to understand?  Read some verses from the Holy Quran that clearly state that Prophet Muhammad is the messenger for all humanity:

From Quran:

[034:028]  We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not.

[025:001]Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures;-

[021:107] We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures.

He wrote:

The Quran further contradicts itself by saying that Jesus and his mother were signs for all of mankind and that both the Torah and the Gospel were revelations given to everyone:

And mention in the Book Mary when she withdrew from her people to an eastern place, and she took a veil apart from them; then We sent unto her Our Spirit that presented himself to her a man without fault. She said, 'I take refuge in the All-merciful from thee! If thou fearest God … He said, 'I am but a messenger come from thy Lord, to give thee a boy most pure. She said, 'How shall I have a son whom no mortal has touched, neither have I been unchaste?' He said, 'Even so thy Lord has said: "Easy is that for Me; and that We may appoint him a sign unto men (ayatan lilnnasi) and a mercy from Us; it is a thing decreed."' S. 19:16-21

And she who guarded her virginity, so We breathed into her of Our spirit and appointed her and her son to be a sign unto all beings (ayatan lilAlameena). S. 21:91

He has sent down upon thee the Book with the truth, confirming what was before it, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel aforetime, as guidance to the people (hudna lilnnasi), and He sent down the Salvation. As for those who disbelieve in God's signs, for them awaits a terrible chastisement; God is All mighty, Vengeful. S. 3:3-4

My response:

Jesus and his Mother Mary (p) were signs to all beings because of his miraculous birth not for his message. Jesus message was only for the Jews not for the humanity. The next verse that Shamoun post ( 3:3-4), clearly says that Torah and the Gospel was guidance to the people (of Israel) not to humanity (alamin).

Jesus also confirms that he sent only to his people:

5. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into  any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.( Matthew 10:5-7)

Jesus also said:

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (Matthew 15:24)

He wrote:

Since Islamic scholarship agrees that the Torah was given to Moses this implies that Moses’ mission wasn’t limited to Israel, but also included other nations as well. In fact, this is precisely what the Quran says, that Allah didn’t simply send Moses to the nation of Israel but also to Pharaoh and his people:

Then We sent forth, after them, Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his Council with Our signs, but they waxed proud, and were a sinful people. So, when the truth came to them from Us, they said, 'Surely this is a manifest sorcery.' Moses said, 'What, do you say this to the truth, when it has come to you? Is this a sorcery? But sorcerers do not prosper.' They said, 'Art thou come to us to turn us from that we found our fathers practising, and that the domination in the land might belong to you two? We do not believe you. Pharaoh said, 'Bring me every cunning sorcerer.' Then, when the sorcerers came, Moses said to them, 'Cast you down what you will cast.' Then, when they had cast, Moses said, 'What you have brought is sorcery; God will assuredly bring it to naught. God sets not right the work of those who do corruption. God verifies the truth by His words, though sinners be averse.' So none believed in Moses, save a seed of his people, for fear of Pharaoh and their Council, that they would persecute them; and Pharaoh was high in the land, and he was one of the prodigals. S. 10:75-83

And We sent Moses with Our signs, and a manifest authority, to Pharaoh and his Council; but they followed Pharaoh's command, and Pharaoh's command was not right-minded. He shall go before his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will have led them down to the Fire-evil the watering-place to be led down to! And there was sent following after them in this world a curse, and upon the Day of Resurrection -- evil the offering to be offered! S. 11:96-99

Surely We have sent unto you a Messenger as a witness over you, even as We sent to Pharaoh a Messenger, but Pharaoh rebelled against the Messenger, so We seized him remorselessly. S. 73:15-16
